This was such a great video - we dined here back in July and thought it was spectacular. Feels very much like a IYKYK type of place. First thing Chef George asked was "how did you hear about this place?!" we mentioned it was your channel. I hope you keep producing fantastic content. 👍
I also make food content but could never build up the courage to talk to the camera in the restaurant. Huge props to the both of you for putting out amazing videos ❤
That's awesome, we love connecting with fellow foodies! Agreed, it's definitely hard to talk to the camera in public and something we're still getting used to... but like everything, it gets easier with time :)
Part of me is really impressed. This meal manages to combine traditional Japanese elements, modern takes, and even that NYC flair. Unfortunately I've looked at the reviews and the pictures look unimpressive compared to what I am seeing in this video. For that kind of money it needs to be that kind of quality every time, and that makes me unsure.
Agreed, it is a big investment to eat here... and you definitely want to make sure it's worth it! For us, personally.... we absolutely loved it! We went shortly after opening and have noticed that some restaurants really excel around opening. We're not sure how they're doing now, but based on our experience back in November... everything was pretty much perfect. The fish was incredibly fresh, some cool modern takes like you mentioned and the ambiance was amazing! We left the evening very satisfied and happy! We're not sure what the new reviews have to say, but yeah... you definitely want to make the right decision. If you end up going, let us know what you think! If you end up anywhere else, let us know as well :) We're always curious to know.
