I have forgiven Vince for giving up on his team. I can't support the idea that we should retire Vince's Jersey. He just doesn't deserve it. He didn't accomplish anything in Toronto and he gave up on his team. Good for NJ if they want to retire #15 but that is a separate issue and should have absolutely no bearing on the raptors. I don't think we should retire #15 for Vince but if we do then Lowry has to be first. If we retire #15 before #7 then that is disrespectful to Lowry

I'd be ok with Carter and Lowry for jerseys. Length of time a championship for Lowry and bringing winning for Carter. Statues? No. Nothing for Bosh, Leonard, DeRozen. Why? You gonna give a jersey retirement for Goran Dragic and LiAngelo Ball?

You mentioned the stardom factor for Vince getting his jersey retired and how Vince brought stardom to this franchise, then should the Clippers retire #32 as Blake also brought stardom to the Clippers who were viewed as the NBA's whipping franchise before he got there, and he made them a respectable franchise. He also has accomplished some of the same things as Vince has too.

You can’t compare the two , the influence of Carter is much greater

@@809Mornelle I still say had it not been for Griffin, the Clippers would still be the team to laugh at and Kawhi would have turned them away. LA was completely a Laker town before Blake. It may seem like Carter’s influence was much greater, but that’s because the Raptors had more area to work with, and if Griffin was in place of Carter the impact would be close to the same.

VC inspired an entire culture of basketball in a hockey nation... big difference. Canada basketball culture today is in large part due to VC's Raptors tenure- believe it or not.
