I agree! songs with brass arrangements give a greater refinement to the album, which is why Honda made all the difference from '91 to '97. Although I don't think Maverick Moon is so much of a T-Square style (unlike Bad Moon), it's always good to hear new Honda songs. In the most recent T-Square albums, the composition work is getting too much on one person (Bandoh), and with time it gets monotonous... the magic was to see songs from different composers
@@MasatoHondaCollection To be fair, Satoshi Bandoh's great. In my opinion, T-Square's albums should be more diversified (like you say) but he should also release more independent albums like Step by Step! and Happy Life!
@@idk-lz4nl I also really like S. Bandoh, I think he is an exceptional composer and one of my favorite songs from the recent T-Square phase is precisely his (The Bird of Wonder), but what I miss about the band is the richness of composers. In Fly FLy FLy we still had Andoh composing together with Kawano (more as support) and Bandoh, but in Wish, almost everything was left to Bandoh... An album I really like is Nine Stories, because it has several collaborations from everyone, including two songs by Itoh (who currently composes almost nothing for the band)
@@MasatoHondaCollection honestly, I'm a much bigger fan of the more classic T-square composers. I think that bandoh's work often tends to sound like what critics accuse T-square of, that being generic anime/videogame music. The past ~10 years of T-square releases have been pretty monotonous. I honestly didn't expect that they would release something so good.
