Please remember Zoom has features specifically for "live music" calls, not sure what you used for this telecon but despite a very fun interview the audio quality, especially the music bits, are hard to watch

I wonder if they could barely hear each other as well when they played guitar during this conversation. I guess it was the case, but it's strange that Paul Gilbert did not tell Matteo about it. Anyway, this is a missed opportunity, although it was a great idea !

It's just a call recording, so you can't expect much. Matteo and Paul should've used an Audio interface to handle the audio streaming. And turn off all noise cancellation.

I love both of these guys, however, Isn't it so strange?, they got the moon landing audio perfect back in '69, but here in '24 we cant even get the audio working in a recorded music stream. 🎸

Sometimes noise cancelling devices from your software is just about killing harmonics comming from the background, so no guitar sound for today I guess . Next time you meet in person and use a proper mic, or switch to electric directly hooked on to the sound card or whatever you have, but playing nylons to open air just won`t do..

Dude. If you’re not disappointed that two professional musicians with incredible tech backing them up everywhere they go, weren’t given something better than Skype from 2004, and because of that, their guitars sound like toys, then you don’t love guitar the way the rest of us do. They deserve better. Take that you dork. You’re a big big dork. So there.
