I have to say your cards are the most creative male cards I've seen on youtube. The corrugated packaging helped but the creativity and skill were all your own. Loved them. My especial favourite was the clock behind the brick wall. Looking forward to seeing more of your work. cheers Irena
Jonathan Mason Thanks Irena, I have NO Masculine cards left so I really need to get busy and make up some more. I hope you'll come back again to visit my channel. Patti
Hi Sharon, help yourself to any idea you find. I often look on Pinterest or Google Images for ideas. It's funny though once you start usually the end result is nothing like what you were 'lifting'. I think the addition of the corrugated cardboard really gives a good masculine feel to cards. I'd love to see what you come up with when you done. Believe me my dear 70's are not old these days!!!! Patti
A B S O L U T E L Y!! Regarding “ ‘70’s not being old “!!! At that age we’re just finally at a point in life when we can pretty much do “it” OUR way, and, for the most part, everybody just shrugs and leaves us to “it”!!
Thank you so much, masculine is harder for me and the corrugated cardboard (packaging materials) just seems to have the right vibe for a guy. Thanks for becoming a subbie, I hope you'll come back often! Patti
I love your gungy style cards. I have a lot of masculine cards to make every year for family and friends and the more inspiration I can find the better. I also like to recycle and repurpose things. Thank you for sharing your ideas
That's so nice! I'm glad I could give you a few ideas. Masculine is harder for me but I keep trying. I just finished one today for a friend with Laurel and Hardy on it. I'll have to do a video so you can see, super cute! Patti
Thank you Pamela, I heard Authentique was coming out with two new masculine lines. I can't wait to get them and combine all three. I never have enough guy cards.
I have been trying to make some masculine cards today and struggling - and then, suddenly, your AMAZING video pops up in my feed. Your cards are the best masculine cards that I have ever seen (and I have been making cards since 2008). Love your creativity and your use of the throw-away corrugated cardboard. And I also love that you didn't stamp and colour images - just combined the different elements that you had. Mind blown! Just subscribed and will be having a ball going through your videos and your blog. Thank you so much! 😀😀
Oh I'm so glad the video helped. I agree masculine cards can be stinkers but staying with the cardboard and such really lends themselves to the guy feel. Have fun!!!
Thanks Farrah, I love having guy cards on hand. They are always more difficult for me so to do a bunch at a time is so helpful and lots less stressful when you need one. Hope you got a lot made as well.
I absolutely LOVE your cards! My sister keeps asking me why I don't have bright , flowery paper in my stash and I tell her because they aren't me! I love the fall colors better as well as these masculine cards.
***** Thanks Susan for stopping by and watching my video. Sometimes when you find the right colors in a collection it's easier to visualize masculine cards so I hop on those collections right away. Patti
What an imagination you have! All of the cards are beautiful. I really like the sympathy card-that distinct style of the grapes and leaves with the green glitter.
+Kahna Emery Thanks so much, I so appreciate that people are still watching my older videos and I think anything that relates to Masculine we all bounce toward, after all those men aren't as easy with no bling, ribbon or sparkle. So glad you liked them all, it's beyond time for me to make a new set!
I am so happy I found your video on these cards. I always struggle with masculine cards and u have inspired me so much. Gonna use some of your ideas for my husbands 71st bday. Thank u so much . Hugs
Hi Karen first off I'm so happy you found my channel too. Secondly you are so not alone with making masculine things. Let's face it guys are harder to create for. I have a newer video posted in the last month or so using an Authentique paper collection and another set of guy cards that could give you more ideas if you want to check it out. Patti
Great ideas for masculine cards! I don't know why I have such a hard time coming up with masculine cards for my family members and coworkers but these are great.
Love your cards. Just what I was looking for. I am making a birthday card for a male colleague and I was CLUELESS about starting it. You have saved my sanity. Thank you!! I am good at making fussy, pretty girly cards, but if you take away all of that I am a pig stuck in quicksand... rooting around with no where to go (lol). I am so glad I found your video. Thanks!
This is a very old video, but what an inspiration your masculine cards are second to none, I have ever made or seen, I wonder if you ever made this type again, love them great job, xx 😁🧡
Thanks Christine and I agree masculine cards are harder for me as well. I think sometimes it's that I have a harder time finding paper that fits. So glad you liked them hope they spark some ideas for you as well. Patti
Brilliant! I really like the way you let the color and design of the wallpaper/envelopes inspire your design of each card. Your cards show that you have a great sense of composition and how to use color. Thank you for making the video!
Gorgeous cards. Love the envelopes made from wallpaper. I cannot say enough about how unique and special everyone of these cards are. You wouldn't find anything like this at Hallmark. Thanks for the ideas.
Oh Peggy I'm so glad you found something that will help you make your card. Sometimes all it takes is seeing how someone else has done something. Hope your son has a super birthday and I'm sure he'll love his card! Patti
Thanks so much, I think I've used all of these and must make another set soon. I have some masculine papers on order so maybe that's what I'll do with them. Hugs, Patti
Thanks Cecilia, I'm so glad you liked my cards. I'm posting one later tonight that;'s another masculine one and I'll be making more with this paper line. I really appreciate you watching my videos and taking a moment to comment, it means a lot. Patti
Terrific ideas! Thank you for sharing them. I really appreciate your perspective and willingness to share. I shall be implementing your ideas into my cards.
I love the wallpaper envelopes, what a great idea. TFS! I agree that masculine cards are seldom to my taste and why I found your channel today. Your cards are just fabulous and I feel very inspired.
Celine Barberio Oh I’m so glad you like my guy cards Celine. You’ll have to check and see if you can find some expired wallpaper catalogs to use for your envelopes. Thanks for watching. Patti
Thanks Poppy. I love having cards on hand. Of course when my girls come to visit they don't last long. Always time to make more, especially the guy ones.
Joanne Vargas Thank Joanne, I am out of all my masculine cards so I'm going to have to be making more real soon! I appreciate you stopping by to watch my videos and hope you'll come back often. Patti
Thanks so much Melissa. I used my last masculine card a couple days ago so time to make some more. Thanks for watching. Hope it gave you lots of ideas for your guy cards.
Really nice cards. Thanks for sharing our ideas. Masculine cards are always the hardest ones to make, so I thank you for some fresh ideas. Hugs, Linda :)
W - O - W!!! ((I SO wish there was a way to write THAT sentiment in 50 pt. font size here!)) I am truly awestruck by your creative talents, Dear Lady!!! T Y F S!!!
Hi Patti....I love your masculine cards....just trying to get some ideas for hubby's 75th birthday and masculine is so hard to create.....I love them all, I think my favourite is the brick.....it's awesome. I've been browsing for 3 days LOL. Don't know if I will but I may scraplift....a bit here and there with your permission....our brains don't work that quick when we are in our 70's LOL LOL. TFS :) :) BTW my picture is old.....LOL
Thanks so much, if you come back later in August I'm working on another set, since I've used up all of these. I appreciate you stopping by and watching my videos. Patti
So glad you liked them! I did videos of Hello Kitty and Girly Girl. If you go back to 2011 and 2010 on my blog I have a lot of cards scattered around. ( A Soul's Heartbeat is my blog ). What age kids are you doing cards for and are they boys, girls or both? I'll try to put that on my list of things to do. I also have a playlist of kids cards and one on my Pinterest board that might give you ideas. Thanks so much for stopping by! Patti
Just found your channel and I love the masculine cards you created! I've got 3 masculine birthdays in January, so I'd love to scrap lift a couple of your ideas, if you won't mind. You're very talented! TFS.
Of course I'm glad I had some ideas that inspired you and gave you food for thought. I'll be making another set shortly using Heartfelt Creations All Geared Up paper collection since these are long gone. Patti
Really good!!!!! Mens cards are so difficult. Here in the U.K we have to watch our layers as postage costs are so high. An A5 card has to be less than 5mm thick or else extra postage. Smaller cards 4mm thick.
Thanks for watching Janne. Postage is awful everywhere unfortunately. The new Sympathy cards I made are super flat. I have such a hard time making flat cards. But I still make ones with lots of layer to hand deliver.
@@ASoulsHeartbeat I'll take a look at those. I make cards these days for donations at church and they're mainly pensioners who can't afford a lot so it's a shame that they're limited by postage costs. It wouldn't be as bad if the post was reliable. I had 2 cards go missing handed over the post office counter to be weighed. Sorry. Not appropriate. Keep up the good work 😀
I so agree Mia, I think Masculine is hard but maybe because I restrict all the good stuff like bling, ribbon and flowers! Men, what can you do? I liked the corrugated cardboard though that gives a real masculine feel. Thanks for watching. Patti
Thanks so much, that's a nice complement. I have used all my masculine cards so will be using Heartfelt Creations All Geared Up papers very shortly to make a new batch. I hope you'll come back when I get the video posted. Patti
You know after you start doing the insides the cards just never seem finished now if I leave them blank. I think it adds a lot to the card. Do you watch Prairie Paper and Ink? She always does the inside and usually uses up what she hasn't used from the outside. Thanks so much for subbing!! Patti
I really like your stamp in the 2nd card (I think) that you showed that reads, TIME to celebrate. Please look and find out what stamp that is and/or where you got it. Thanks! Great masculine cards!
+Rebecca Brown Hi Rebecca I didn't recognize the stamp and went through my binder that house prints of all of my stamps and can't find it. I'm thinking it was part of one of the papers that I cut up, or I printed it from my computer. Sorry
Well be on the watch, between family and friends needing cards my stash is now down to almost nothing so I'll be making and sharing a lot in the New Year
I had JUST that thought! ((but then I turned and looked at my stash, and my konmari piles, and my donation stacks, and my recycle bins, and...and...and...and decided I R E A L L Y should NOT do THAT! teeheehee))
waaaw Patti I love all those card...you made brilliant job and you used my favorites collors :D they cards are really amazing....thank you for new inspiration for me,I'm trying to altered address book as you did with password book so hope I will make it :D have a lovely day.Hugs Eva
Hi Eva, don't you find manly cards hard to make?? I have used all my guy cards up and need to make some more, so glad you liked these. Can't wait to see your address book, I use my little book all the time. Patti
