Sounds like he is explaining the types of behaviors that led to Big L’s murder. Not that Mase did anything, but if Big Ls lifestyle was filled with regular occurrences like this, you can imagine the enemies you accumulate.
@@Mrpantysmeller35 $hu&t up $tupid....even Mase said IN THIS INTERVIEW that he would knock him out because he knew him...and that he stood on the other side of the street after trying to have him robbed...goofy ass boy
Lyrically Big L is one of the best. But sadly he was too much in the streets and caught up in street nonsense with his brother that stalled his career and lost his life. Even the reason behind his shootting was allegedly just a retaliation from someone he robbed. Since then I figured Big L was telling the truth in his lyrics how he's "quick to twist your cap back for a fat stack". This Ma$e story confirms what i already thought. RIP BIG L. one of the best to do it. 🙏 🕊
It wasnt retaliation for a robbery. Big L and someone else tried to kill Big L child hood friend, that friend escaped, seen Big L face then killed him a week later
@@quanthebronxny3996Big L allegedly tried to put a hit out on sun and when he got word of it, he got the drop on L when he on-sighted him.. May Allah rinse his sins and grant him firdaus
My first big concert was OC and Big L in Zurich, Switzerland. After the concert we were lucky enough to meet them behind the building as they were leaving, and Big L was super nice. In addition to the pictures he had also recorded a skit for the mix tape of a friend of ours who was at home and was a DJ. The first mix tape he made, at 17, has a Big L skit in it... Not bad...
@@mbell7498 Hey. I guessed so 🙈 well I'm from Zurich, in case your friend lives here and stumbles across that mixtape.. I'm happy to come by with a cassette player myself 😂😂
If it wasn’t forL INSPIRING Harlem and that whole double syllable rhyme scheme came from lord finesse then L and L PUT THEM together children of the corn . Damn shit is twisted man . Mase the sneaky one man .
@@jbs5155 I think Finesse was inspired by Kane with the multiple syllables and took it to another level. L was inspired by both of them. If you listen to L's Roc N Wills Demo his flow and word play is like Kane's. The demo should still be here on RU-vid...
If you weren't around you wouldn't know but nobody talked about big l until he passed. Everyone knew who was hot in nyc and L wasn't one of them. His first album isn't good---despite having ditc beats--- and people like to pretend it's a classic now. L had a couple good songs. The Enemy and the O.C. joint.
L got shot in the chest and then got shot in the face 7 times…by a friend. Go listen to his raps closely, he sowed that kind of lifestyle and reaped it.
wow 🥷🏾s speaking on a another persons character after he passed is nasty work, L aint even here to rebuttal or tell his side of the story, that's 🌽 E af ... social media is WILD 🤦🏾♂️🤣😭
@@oktoberwindz352real is real, no sense in sugar coating it. Even though they passed on, would you say King Von or Julio Foolio were upstanding citizens. There is a word called Karma, which basically means, usually a person gets what they give.
Bro real hip hop heads know how deadly mase was lyrically and a flow to match that no one had heard of at the time. Smooth flow with mad punch lines. Most know him for his joints with Total (who btw have just disappeared. Need them back!) but murda mase was killing it. In my opinion he was clear of most rappers at the time and prob stil to this day. Loon was my other fave artist who sounded very similar but had his own unique style. Niggaz think coz L do that “wiggity wiggity” flow he was some generational rapper when actually alot of rappers were doing that even jay z started his flow that way til he learnt to harness it and spit properly. Big up Mase. Hes a real one
Word. Mase has always been super nice. That whole era with the double time, iggedy wiggity flow was originally Das EFX then Fu Shnickens and everyone else took it, including L. While L was cool with it, Mase and Cam were definitely better writers, lyricists and spitters with a more polished flow.
These stories are crazy and hilarious, I grew up on 37 and seen cam and mase everyday growing up in Harlem, we would ball on 40 and see them everyday, even Big L….i remember watching them battling in the park.
Sham funny as ish. Played with him out the IBL in Oregon after he was done in the league and finishing up getting big bread in the Middle East. Cool as a fan!!
damn , why they put the vid on private? I ain't even get to finish watching the upload. Went outside to handle some business.. came back in and it's gone!
I'm from Harlem and Big L was the first nikka to blow up in the neighborhood, his style was ahead of it's time and he was the best lyrically. Not talking about his street shenanigans. I truly believe he was the best back then and as time went on he would've still been the cream of the crop... Pause 💯
@@phillmoe Well Mase and Cam did it and they weren't commercial at all so if he was the best in the squad I think he could've done whatever he wanted to do while adapting to the times..
Cam and Mase I was expecting the nitty gritty of Children of the Corn. Those tracks were legendary,me and my boys used to play this ish all the time in Queens!
I think all ny cats got slick stuff with them so i wouldn't say he got what he was asking for but we can see he wasnt no saint but he could rap his ass off no diddy
Your favorite rapper is a snake..nobody perfect.. Puff had dudes try and rob Mase..They thought Mase was sweet back then... L would be a snake if him and Mase were friends..Dont sound like they was ever friends, just from the same hood and did occasional music together...matter of fact sound like L and his brother didnt like Cam and Mase.. You can call L a snake if he did this to Fat Joe
But L wzs the nicest out of Harlem no cap who u putting up? Love the show by the way we needed this glad yall linked back up shout out from South Florida 954 Broward we been locked in with NY and the muzik 💯
We all know what happens to street ninjas... The streets catch up with you. None of us are niave here... Mase flipped his name while L lived up to his. Sad.
There is an interview about 4 months ago Cam is sayin he knw him as murda and "yall think cause the suits anc rap shit or the church dont get it twisted" even when Mase went at shannon mase said Cam u know why yhey call me murda cam said I know I know. Go back and rewatch it
I was the first person in Philly with the Big L album. I love L but ive also heard him and his squad did ppl dirty in the streets and it caught up to L and his brother unfortunately. RIP
Big L seem like a sinister dude. His lyrics were always super dark and extra violent. I thought it was just entertainment but I guess he really had an evil mentality
Yeah, that's exactly what I thought as well. Always had the impression that Big L grew up in the streets, but wasn't actually out there getting caught up and instead used rap to vicariously describe the experience. To me, there was always this undertone that Big L was simply playing an exaggerated character, but was actually a pretty chill guy in real life. It's disappointing to learn that he really was a rather grimy individual. And it's not just this interview; recent revelations in general (like that NFL crew documentary) also corroborate that Big L was just a shady person.
@@keanubelle1157 How was He trying to rob and Extort them as teenagers when they was in a rap group as teenagers? And cam never said L tried to rob him
