I own a 2014 Quattroporte SQ4 with 65000 miles. It has the 3.0L Bi-turbo V-6 with about 400HP. I have the 21" alloy wheels, White with black interior. Typical, Chrysler U-connect infotainment system, which is quite good, for the age. Beautiful black interior with carbon fiber trim. This car is georgeous and drop dead fast in sport mode with a great tuned exhaust. It is a bit stiff on local bumpy roads but quiet and smooth on the highway. As a previous owner of Mustangs, Isuzu Impulse Turbo and I-Mark Rallysport, along with 2 Jaguars, and Audi, The Maserati is just incredible; no comparison. I have no engine or electronic problems but, routine maintenance is a bit expensive.
The ownership experience has been far better than expected. I'd budget $1500 a yr on maint. I bought at 37k now have 65k and not one issue. If you do some work yourself like air filters and stuff you will save 70% . Oil change supplies are nearly 200. so you can save 50% if u do it yourself as dealer want 400. Do not over fill the oil. It's picky and will puff a cloud of smoke on cold start even if 1pint overfull. All in all I suggest it. It's way more responsive in sport mode. I actually love the simplicity of the car. Only downside is breaks are very touchy at low speeds. Do not regret getting this car. And I got the V8 also. 27mpg on the hwy. 14 around town
I looked forward to watching this Maserati Quattroporte review, and I thoroughly enjoyed watching it, being an all brand car enthusiast, I have liked this model for many years, and the video footage of the Quattroporte driving in the snow, I have it saved on my phone, like from 4 years ago. I have owned owned over 50 cars - we love them all and accept all their quirks etc. I have both a gran turismo and a Quattroporte GTS - love them both. The noise of the gran turismo is better than both my Ferrari’s. Only issue with Quattroporte is wind noise in rear window which we have to get fixed and defroster stopped working at 28k, other than that no issues for both cars whatsoever
Still have your Maserati's? Several people have cautioned against buying due to expense of maintenance/repairs, but nobody ever seems to have specific examples. 🤔
@@scottydl I was just at Ferrari/masersti of San Diego to service gran turismo and Quattroporte GTS. Yes, front brake/rotors only is a $4000 job plus the $460 oil change. But, I love both cars and they don’t give me any issues…something you’d expect from buying these cars
@@488ferc4 I rarely go to dealers as they jack up all prices but I get what you’re saying. Oil change is about $50 in materials (maybe) but I don’t know how specialized brake parts are.
@@392_RHINO honestly, I have had little issues with both my gran turismo and Quattroporte GTS (v8). Reliable cars ironically. I’ve heard the 6 cylinder Quattroporte has had more issues.
This is a baller car for sure , defenetly looks exclusive on the road , the only thing that anoys me is the fact that screen looks out of place and not that much premium . Did i just hear you saying that this car depreciated 100k in 4 years?
100k bro out the door 25k a year in depreciation. Mainly because it's not worth 140k in the first place. Yea screen looks awful interior as a whole doesn't look that nice but fit and finish was good. But yea man the presence this has is great 👍

I have a SQ4 QP 2014 no issues ... "No headaches" ..... the The window switch as you stated are car parts # 2518200110 was a part of Daimler/Chrysler from (1998-2007) $65- $144 dollars. The switch is in the Mercedes ML350, ML450, ML550 for example and also in the Mercedes-Benz ML320, ML63, AMG and also again, still used in today’s Chrysler/fiat cars. So, the Maserati Window Switch is the same as the Mercedes Benz part that was passed on to Chrysler/Fiat cars. So do you call Mercedes a Chrysler? At 19 different FCA parts as buttons, switches sunshade at $3,500 dollars in the Ghibli Levante and Quatroporte ..........so who “really owns” the window switch? My 2 cents..... I would rather have these buttons that are not sticky. Because in the past like Benz, Ferrari (At $500 for a switch if you can find it on the planet on older cars) Older Maserati, etc.had buttons because of the sun/heat had melt the buttons to a gooey knobes.
My boss currently has a 08 Quattroporte and I drove it the other day. Really odd car with a wonderful engine. The steering was so light in the 08 it made my S class feel like manual steering in comparison.
@@MeynMotorGroup I could be wrong but I think it may have had an early electric power steering system. It’s in on trade but a wonderful British racing green metallic over tan leather.
definitely a beautiful car, but if I have to get in it and look at it every day, I say I will prefer a XJ. bout to get something new and definitely gonna find one and try it out.
Nice video! I prefer Maserati before they were absorbed into FCA -- but, either way, it was refreshing to hear a well-articulated review of the car. On a side note, you confirmed my suspicion that modern Maseratis may very well drive somewhat like the German cars would; I suppose it provides sort of a BMW driving style and power delivery, but with some extra spice. Conversely, the pre-FCA Maseratis -- especially those with the F1 transmissions -- were ferocious beasts whose luxuriously appointed interiors deceived their [unwary] prospective buyers.

I had a 16 Ghibli Sq4, wasn’t a bad car. Actually handled well and had good steering. Sounded great, not the fastest obv. They finally throw a V8 in it, but it’s RWD. Will see what they do when redesign it.
@@MeynMotorGroup The interior was actually solid, some cheap parts, panel gaps. But no rattles or anything. I like that they made running improvements since one I had.

Oh you know nothing really I know 37 people that bought one used and have 625,000 miles on it all they did was oil changes and it ran perfectly no issues at all might be one of the most reliable and highest quality cars ever made. You own one you should know. I know you love the window switches for sure.
