MASH (1972-1983) After 52 Years, What Happened to The Cast Now 

Watched it then and currently thoroughly enjoying re-watching it now - STILL one of the greatest series ever made !

BULL !! Klinger was one of the smartest soldiers there !! Just like Radar, if you needed something Klinger was The Man to go too !! And he was my favorite !! So yeah I'm taking offense with that !! Jamie Farr did a wonderful job as Klinger !! 👍

I started watching MASH when I was in Korea in 1980. I loved that show, and I loved the Korean people. They are worth defending.

Larry Linville was a very sweet man and loads of fun to be around. He played his part extremely well!

Larry Linville who played (Frank Burns) Was why the show was so successful. Alan Alda said he was a renaissance man and was loved by all on the set. He earned a aeronautical engineering degree out of Sacramento state university and designed and built aircraft. I watched the show for his character.

I cried when Henry died when his plane was shot down on his way home! I loved Sidney the shrink!

You missed my favourite MASH character Colonel Flag of the CIA played by Larry Winter I think, a laugh a minute MASH, thank you to all the cast for delivering such laughter.

When I heard of Kelly's death I was devastated. She was a very special cast member. All around sweet. She had been featured sincecthe first season but wasn't given any lines until a few seasons later. One ofvher most touching scenes was when a soldier lays dieing abd he calls her by his wife's name. She talks to him as she were his wife and he dies holding her hand. The premise of thr episode is thst shecus annoyed by Hawkeye's wandering eye and pays no attention to her. After tge scene I just described, he sees her for the sweet and caring person she is

I agree. I loved Klinger. He was also one of my favorite characters. And sometimes his outfits almost worked.

My favorite show. I was a teenager at the time. I protested against the war so this show ment alot to me. I loved the characters and that was due to the marvelous actors. I grieve for those who have gone before me and rejoice in those still with us. May God bless them all and all service men and women. ❤❤❤

Narrator got some facts wrong (obviously never saw the show) but it was cool to see all these incredible characters. MASH means a lot to me, especially the Xmas episode where they turn the hands back so the soldier doesn't die on Xmas and Charles learns an amazing lesson about jumping to conclusions and has the best apology ever written.

Where did the time go? Yesterday, I was lying on the floor in front of our console TV, watching this show with my family. I was just a young kid. I see their faces now, and I am like, HOW CAN THIS BE? Then I look at mine, and I am like, "Oh yeah!" I am a grandmother now and not such a spring chicken myself. Time passes too quickly. They have all aged beautifully. I miss those days! What a wonderful show. I will never forget the finale. I cried my eyes out!

Every single first picture is dated 1972 but not all the characters started when the series premiered in 1972.

One of the greatest TV shows ever. Starting off as a sit-com, an out growth from the popular movie, the show evolved into a comedy/drama that delved into some of the serious issues of war. M*A*S*H holds up 50 years later.

I have always loved this show!!!! I still applaud all the actors who got their start on Mash. I just wonder about premonition when Patrick Swazy guest starred early on as a soldier with cancer then he ended up dying of cancer.

Even tho the shows over 40 yrs..old.....I still get good laugh & tears! Especially the early episodes......( Col. Blake ... Hawkeye pierce......trapper ..frank burns...and even Klinger!!!! ). lol. 😁😁!

One of my favourite shows. Shame about the background "music" in this video, too loud and overpowering. This is a mistake that many people make with YT videos.

I worked with all the extras in Beverly Hills , including Bobbie Mitchell who played Hawkeyes girlfriend. They were all real estate agents and part time actors. Bobbie was a comedian....so funny.

I remember Jeff Maxwell as the Chef, Igor, on M*A*S*H, but it was as a "guest star " on Wayne Roger's series "House Calls". He played a character who was crazy about " Ham in raisin sauce"! I got the biggest kick and laughs out of that episode! I also enjoyed Sòon Teck OH as various Korean characters over the years on M*A*S*H!

Klinger was NOT simple minded.

Being an ex Army Nurse. I loved Mash.

When I heard of Kelly's death in 2020, u was devastated. Sgexwas in frim season 1 but never featured any speaking parts until a couple seasons later. One very touching episode was a scene with a dieing soldier who calls her by his wife's name abd during the conversation, he dies holding her hand.

Loved every single one of them, great actors great characters god bless those no longer here and thank you for the laughs .

Radar wasn't sneaky!! He was the person who slept with a teddy bear, had a kind heart, and even lent his bunny for Hawkeye to do a pregnancy test for Margaret hulahann without killing the rabbit by removing the rabbits ovaries and testing them, no hot lips wasn't pregnant and the rabbits lived with out multiplication rather subtracting of ovaries

I'm sorry, did you call Klinger "simple-minded?" Because I don't know what show you were watching but it couldn't have been M*A*S*H; Cpl. Max Klinger on M*A*S*H was anything but simple-minded. Or perhaps "simple-minded" means something different in your native culture (not meaning to presume, but you do have quite a heavy foreign accent) than it does in native English speaking countries.

This is still my favorite sitcom.

He forgot John Schuck, who played Painless, the dentist. He was in his own series. He was in MSW and Diagnosis Murder.

Hard to Imagine that only Alan Alda, Loretta Swit, Gary Burghoff, Mike Farrell and Jamie Farr are the only ones still alive

The background music is too loud and it is Primary and the narration is in the background and is too soft. I missed a lot of what you said. I will go back and listen again

PLEASE.... Listen to you sound mix before publishing. Specifically the balance between the narrators voice and the background music. Your music level is way too loud. And such repetitive music tracks are proven to turn viewers off and cause early closing of videos.

4:40 It is Odessa Cleveland not Orissa like it says on the screen. Gary Burghoff really played the drums on an episode of MASH. In 1968 he was a drummer in a band called The Relatives which featured Lynda Carter as lead singer.

One of the saddest episodes was when Charles rehearsed the Korean impromptu musicians over and over until they could play the Mozart piece perfectly. ÌWhile they were leaving, in the back of a pickup truck, playing, a North Korean bomb exploded, killing them all. I was shocked. But then that was what war was really like.

When the series came out in DVD, I bought all eleven seasons. (Can't break up a set!) When "there's nothing on TV," I turn to my DVDs, and although I have others, M*A*S*H is my favorite!

A couple of fun facts. Gary Burghoff was the only actor to appear in both the movie and the TV show. The series lasted 8 years longer than the war itself. The show lasted 11 years while the war only lasted 3.

Love this show in its first few years, but as it later became the Alan Alda show, and every scene ended with him always having the last line, as he became more self-righteous, and the show episodes almost always featured his view point, my love died a slow painful death.

One good season (the first). Practically every show was some tedious lecture about 1960s themes on social justice and feminism.

Jamie Farr was like his character was in Toledo. He served in the army during the Korean War and though he spent most of his tour working for Armed Forces Radio in Tokyo, he did spend a year in Korea traveling with Red Skelton's USO show.

There should be a television Hall of Fame. Definitely MASH is a Top 5 level. Mid way into the series it got political and didn't try to bring in new characters or get correspondence from old characters. Like a film reel from Frank burns, or a letter from radar mentioning children. Maybe a gag letter from one of hawkeye's nurses he dated calling him papa...

The one thing i did not know is that M*A*S*H* had a hand in ending the war, that's really cool!
