"mashup" doesn't just mean 2 or more song mixed up, it can also be 2 or more singer mixed up, thats why its called "mashup" different rendition of thing mixed up together

You might think making a mashup of two versions of the same song is easy, but these versions were recorded 25 years apart. The sound quality and production is very different. Mixing these with a result like this is incredibly impressive

Your comment is greatly appreciated. Yes, it's true, it wasn't easy. There were mixing and mastering processes to make them sound as "similar" as possible. Also, the help of AI to separate voice from music was unavoidable, and there may have fallen a little evil, but ... it is what it is.

The truth is that I really liked Jack Black's version, it sounds more rock than Britney's pop version. And they both sing it in the same key. It was just a matter of adjusting speeds, EQ and mixing with criteria, the rest is to enjoy!

Very good observation. I wanted to respect the 4:3 ratio to keep that eighties vibe. Also Britney's official video is in 4:3 and reframing it would ruin it a lot. I preferred to download Jack's, which was also retouched to have a different aesthetic, even though you can't change what's already shot. But I tried, with what I had, to do the best I could. I'm very glad you liked it. Thank you very much.

First, I just want to say that the writers of this song knew exactly what they were doing. The song, regardless of who's performing it is just a damn good song, full stop. Second, These two sound way better together than one would ever guess. Britney's vocals sound way better with this backing track, and Jack's voice blends surprisingly well with hers. I really like this. Good job on the mix, too! I kinda hope to see these two do a live performance of this together one day. That would really be something to see.

I clicked on this expecting to check it out and turn it off halfway through but it was 10x better than I could have possibly imagined. Ended up listening to it 4 times in a row. Extremely well done!
