Bobby Caldwell was the definition of Blue eye soul. ❤️❤️ Wait till they find out who sings " you lost the loving feeling" righteous brothers. Even more when they find out what the person who sings " holding back the years and If you don't know me by now" simply red. 😆. But rest in paradise Mr Caldwell. My best happy times were thanks to him. 2pac sampled this for Do 4 luv and common sampled " open your eyes" for his song the light.

I really miss the days, when men were singing to women, & not at them, & when we had no idea what the singer looked like, because we only heard music on the radio, and it didn't matter what race or color you were, we either loved the song, or didn't......Enjoyed the reactions, & will await the day, when people realize, a soul, has never had a color💗

A lot of white people have soul and rhythm and can dance and sing as well as any black person. The idea that they can't or don't is just nonsense. That said, when most people hear someone sing a particular way or in a particular genre of music, they make assumptions. My grandmother loved Charlie Pride, for instance! She thought he was white for the longest time! Didn't matter to her when she found out he was black! She loved his voice and his songs!

It's 2023. Time to just credit artists who have Soul with just that. No references to skin tone or eye color. No matter what country they come from, whatever ethnicity, in all musical genres. Not being Donnie Downer, just saying why don't we move along and enjoy an artist for their Beauty, Contribution, and...Soul! ( If they got it. ;-) ) Not overlooking history, with all due respect to the Legends of Blues, Rock, and Soul. Let's unite along common interests and enjoy the hell out of great music and musicians!
