I love how Zac gets so much vocal time… these guys are so freaking talented and everybody wrote them off once *NSYNC and Backstreet Boys came on the scene
People used to make fun of me for liking Hanson when I was young. I was never into backstreet boys, nsync etc. For me a band is always better and these guys are still super talented. These performances were great, I'd totally buy an album of these covers lol.
Even though they didn't win, as I think they should have, at least everyone was exposed to their enormous talent. Their harmonies and voices are off the charts.
My goodness how could they possibly not win. Not just one amazing talent but 3. I think this showed the amazing range of their individual voices. My adult Daughter saw them at the Orpheum Theatre in Vancouver a couple of years ago and said they were amazing. I saw some footage and I agree. 🎉😊❤
I'm kicking myself for not recognizing the voices sooner than I did. It was clearly a band or a family. I was wondering, but I wasn't sure if I really thought it was Hanson or if I just wanted it to be Hanson. Made sense once I paid close attention. Now I'm rewatching this like, oh yes, how did I not pick up on this right away?
Versatility was always the true magic of Hanson, as well as the fact that they wrote their own songs and lyrics, even as kids. They did not deserve to fade, but thankfully, they lived on in live tours throughout their career. They definitely deserved to win that season.
When they started out in Tulsa, they used to practice across the street from my house. One morning I went out to mow my front yard and there were 5 or 6 girls sitting in my yard waiting for Hanson to show up. The house was being rented by the young band Admiral Twin.. A couple years later, they were chartering a private jet that was owned by the company I worked for.

I was shocked this was Hanson. The boys have grown into men with incredible voices and harmony. Like many others, I thought they should have won the competition.
I'm glad they stayed true to themselves and their music.💖 A lot of artists had to disappointingly change their styles just to be marketable. Hats off to genuine musicians.✨
@@Galaxycatfurever it's just an observation. I have been a devoted Hanson fan for over 20 years. I just wish that they got the legendary rock band recognition they deserve.

Zack can easily change his voice he's good at impressions. The wail in Taylor's voice is his thing. Ike and Taylor can mask their voices a little here and there. Once the harmonies are on full volume instantly you know it's them. You can still have a career without hits, sales, and awards as long as you tour a lot and do other things. They all have multiple kids. They're relevant enough with a loyal fan base. I saw a free show and met them all living out my 1997 childhood dream. I moved on after their first few albums it was all NSYNC and BSB plus other pop groups in between. Many faded out or broke up. Hard work and enjoying what you do keeps a career. Mad respect. Taylor is still the shy one.

I was never a huge Hanson fan. They did have some good songs and man, it was easy to spot their voices. Such a talented bunch. EXTREMELY underrated. This was awesome to watch.
I was a Hanson Fanatic, so the moment they revealed 3 Russian Dolls... I was like: That's the Hanson brothers right there... (pause... kept listening...) Yup, that's Taylor Hanson!🥰 I wanted them to win sooooooo bad!!!! I went back to my middle school fandom memories, started streaming the albums: Middle of Nowhere & Snowed In. 😍
During the first performance did anyone notice the other Russian Doll was wearing a sequined white glove like Michael Jackson wore???? While singing "Man In The Mirror"???? #MJFOREVER
I knew it was them cause their HARMONIES are so dang tight. But then I got SUPER confused by the amount of dolls and questioned everything lol. PS that Man in the Mirror cover was BOMB! They killed it!
They absolutely killed it. They have been nothing but themselves and totally authentic their entire career. Then they come on here and show everyone who thought they were just just those kids who sang MmmBop that they are masters.
I knew from the first notes!! Hanson was the first show I ever went to and I still go to their concerts every couple of years with my best friend!! They are talented and always have been 💕💕💕
I know it's random, but one of my favorite moments of being a young teenager, was getting to break it to my dad that that "hot middle Hanson sister " was not just a minor, but also a boy. 😆. One of the many great laughs that I had at that poor man's expense, growing up. I'm surprised that I survived to adulthood. In his defense, it's always been the middle one for me too though! So, I can't hate on the man's taste.
They were my first guess once there was a confirmed 3 dolls, then they teased with a 4th and i was like....maybe its not Hanson, but I listen to them too often (still) and man i was sure it was them!
This was so weird, I have not hear about their music in a long time, but I immediatly recocnize Taylor's voice. I heard these guys are coming to my homecountry To Finland.
