Correction: I miss-spoke: 50 milliseconds is a slow attack time. Fast would be just a few milliseconds.
In this tutorial I demonstrate how Dynamic EQ with NO makeup gain applied can reduce frequency masking.
Downward Compression can improve frequency masking but makeup gain can make it worse.
