Not necessarily true. He still killed it. But I've gotten uncountable barrels at wedge/ Cylinders. It's a surprisingly makeable wave and sometimes very user friendly
Yeah, he's good about not losing his board much but washing up in the shore break isn't ideal... I also cringe whenever people stab boards nose first into the sand. I guess in those places the sand is pretty deep but where I'm from, there's rocks under there.
Used to be the rare part of the description was a description of ppl surfing wedges. Nowdays it more applies tonthe fact that the wedge is uncrowded. Because thats super rare these days.
Brilliant how he can go right or left. Granddaughter of ambidextrous, widow of (confused) bi-dextrous, I respect the athleticism of being able to follow where the wave takes him.
