I am sure she remembered that later on. I went paragon so I don't quite see why she was calling me a bully. Regardless, she was throwing insults the moment she arrived.
"A bully has few friends when he needs them the most." Which is very goddamn true. the salarians are the biggest bully in this case, & well, look where it got them...
She should of heeded her own warning, because it looks like she's the one with no friends. Meanwhile, the representatives of 3 races stride from the room as allies and friends in the Galaxies darkest hour.
Really it was mostly just the Dalatrass. STG and several other salarian contacts pretty much went straight behind the Dalatrass's back and sided with shepard.
godofawesum223 in retrospect can you really blame them? the salarian STG Are Soldiers first with no love of politics I imagine. all they may fear with the Krogan what do they know what's up in that it doesn't matter if the Galaxy is destroyed right now because of the Reapers
heck at one point when you get the assisstance of STG, Commander Hacket remarks that they aren't go to put the Galaxy in jeopardy "Just because Some Dalatrass didn't get her way"
@@kirbster3678 I could understand her prejudice if she was around during the krogan rebellian but shes a salarian, they only live 40 years she doesnt even know what shes talking about. Meanwhile wrex is possibly 1000 or more years old himself. Respect your elders bitch
Dalatrass: But I warn you, Commander. The consequences- Shepard: -Will be nothing compared to what happens if the Reapers win! Surprisingly well timed interruption
Something notable about this conversation is that the krogan here, a race so often stereotyped as mindless and savage brutes, is being represented by one of the most charismatic and cunning of their kind, Urdnot Wrex, whereas the dalatrass reduces all of her natural great intelligence as a salarian to the point of acting childishly aggressive and disrespectful, needlessly spouting insults towards a krogan who has said nothing but the truth and spoken with a relatively calm tone of voice. I'm sure it was intentional on the writers' part, the stereotypes have been reversed here and it's pretty great.
Dalatrass is a poor leader who only barely won her election, and all of her power comes down to family wealth rather than actual merit. A salarian with true merit such as Mordin had no respect for her, I'm sure.
I wouldn't call Victus a "homie" since it gets proven later that he's not very honest with you. You also have to push him a little into helping you on Tuchunka.

Should we even allow Andromeda into the Mass Effect canon? As far as I think, the canon end with Sheperd on the Citadel finding a way to stop the Reapers. No godchild, no circular logic, no slavery, genocide and especially not husk creation.
When I finally played Mordin's loyalty mission in ME2 I was in such a shock that I could not continue for some time... I always knew ME series are good, but I never expected something like this. I am a Chinaman, I know what birth control can do to a people and how scientifically justifiable it can seem. For decade we were told that we must control the birth rate at all cost or the world would be flooded with newborns depleting resources and for years under this name...things happened. It was a heavy topic that we still cannot tell right from wrong , and I never thought a video game could possible touch the subject with this level of decency and complexity. Such a great series...
No need. She probably ended her own career with her own words. If not, her own backstabbing and scheming did the rest. Some people, you just give them a length of rope and watch them hang themselves.
Wrex wasn't that great in ME1, he was just the grizzled mercenary with a blunt, rough personality (dare I say initially Drack from Andromeda was a far better Krogan). He had his deep moments with him being against the general views of the Krogan and his hidden insecurity about the decline of his race, but really it wasn't until ME2 that he really started to come into his own and truly give him a unique fleshed out personality. ME2 massively evolved many of the companions from ME1, Liara went from innocent child like scientist to a toughened information broker (hell she was threatening people!), Garrus went from hot-shot cop chafing under the rules to hardcore badass vigilante, Kaiden/Ashley.....became absolute d!cks, Wrex went from impersonal merc to bromance leader, I think Tali was the one who changed the least and even she got a bit more experienced and level headed.
Messing with a krogan in Mass Effect is like messing with a Wookie in Star Wars. Not a smart thing to do. And yes i know this was probably not the best comparison. It was just a thought in my mind
Nah! wookie is definitely a fair comparison. Both relatively primitive and aggressive cultures. Both very Tribal. Both Brutal warriors. Both nearing extinction. Both are the last thing you want as an enemy and the most loyal friend you can have at your back. The only real difference is one is a giant two legged turtle and the other is a big ole sasquatch.
Actually Wookies aren't brutal warriors or of aggressive nature, as a whole Wookies regard themselves as artisans, not warriors. It's just that their physical traits are stronger than most aliens and they are intensely proud.
One thing I really loved about these games is how no one race was generalized. Yes there were Humans and Turians who hated each other because of the First Contact War (and to an extend their reasons are understandable), but there were just as many who moved past it. Same with regards to the Krogan and their issues. It really made the characters feel like living people with their own opinions and feelings.
I'm a little proud that Wrex didnt growl at the Turian when he went to the data pad to play his evidence. I woulda done it if I were him Also this version of Shepard is uglier than a krogan.
That’s the downside to create your own character in mass effect. Original Shepard both male and female are AWESOME looking though. Though that’s probably obvious😅
@@rebel1717 You can make decent looking custom Sheps if you're willing to put in the effort (Especially if you're on PC, since you have access to mods).
@@erieriderschillingcorner1595 Yea, femshep has always been easier then dudeshep. I think I had to restart ME3 around 5 or 6 times before I got one that looked like a human.
The Dalatrass rambles on as though the Reaper Invasion was not imminent extinction for her people, she screams about the Krogan as though Wrex and Eve were not better than their ancestors. Meanwhile the Salarians are experimenting with uplifting Yahg on Sur'Kesh, proving that they have learned NOTHING from this whole affair.
When the salarian stated that the krogan lost their purpose or usefulness after the rachni wars I immediately hated the salarians. Because they admitted to using another species only to remove their ability to repopulate and took upon themselves the spoils of war. ..... Only mordin and maellin salarian are the most justified salarians. Ever other should return to being a delicacy for other species to consume. Protheans ate them, krogan did too. I wonder who else had a salarian on their dinner plate.
Well actually I side with the salarians at the time when they created the genophage, because the Krogan were abusing their spoils of war after the rachni wars to the point where they were destroying entire worlds with asteroids (like what Balak tried to do in "Bring Down the Sky"). Something had to be done. Unfortunately the Turian generals went against the salarians recommended usage of the genophage: Use it specifically on the violent clans while leaving the other clans alone. That way the Krogan will turn on each other and the violent ones will eventually run out of numbers and be wiped out thus ending the Krogan wars and everyone will get back to business as usual. They also waited too long to develop countermeasures against the Krogan's numbers before the Krogan wars started. As a result the council and the Tuians both in their desperation to end the war and a thirst for revenge got the better of them and the entire species was neutered . Rather then take responsibility and leave historians and their children to learn from the Krogan wars, they became racist and painted the entire Krogan species as violent and classified what really happened.
Not every other as the entire population shouldn’t pay for the actions of the dalatrass much like how not all the quarians should pay for the actions of the admirals and their ancestors
True that. Although, say that Garrus and Wrex want to kill each other, and say they were in a position similar to Samara and Morinth and you could help either one, then I'd put a couple of slugs into Wrex's head.
Umm, isn‘t the Airlock in the front and they would have to come through where Shepard is standing, so it makes no sense that they‘re already there when she comes in?
I wish there was an actual dialogue where Shepard said "Then why did you interfere with them instead of letting them evolve their technology on them own" It pisses me off how it's basically the Salarian's fault for uplifting the Krogan and thus causing the future Krogan rebellions and yet only Mordin recognizes it.
indeed which is why I always choose to tell them about the deal the Dalatrass tried to broker with you, as while you can save Mordin and have him help you with the Crucible, Wrex/Wreav does later find out meaning you have to kill him.
Your actions in the first and second game are the only things that determine whether Wrex and Garrus survive. Yes, Garrus can die too, along with yourself and everyone else on your team at the end of the second game, at which point, you'll be unable to import your save file to ME3.
The dalatrass only proves why krogan hate salarians because she straight up said the krogan ceased to be useful you just said they are like a tool to you saying that to a clan chief ain’t gonna get you anywhere except a shallow grave
This game did a horrendous job (particularly as an RPG) if you believe in the pros of the genophage. You can't even debate it with anybody! There honestly should've been an option in the dialogue wheel along the lines of "Let's discuss other options" after Linron says that the genophage is non-negotiable! Honestly, this game feels more like an anti-RPG than anything else!
What annoys me about the dalatrass the most is she openly admits "yeah, we made a mistake uplifting the krogan just to fight the rachni" yet still claims the moral high ground about the genophage. It's she can't connect the dots that her ancestors screwed over Wrex's ancestors, instead defending it.
Just choosing downer response is kinda boring. I love the line ''for how long do you think you will last alone against the reaper?" some ''paragon'' lines can be as owning if not better, thanks to the voice acting
I really hated Delatrass in ME3. Man she got on my last nerve, to win the war we needed the Krogan. The Krogan wanted a cure so give it to them, but nope. Delatrass can't get over her hate for them and would rather doom the entire galaxy, then she tries to undermine the whole cure by contacting Shepard to stop it. Man I just can't stand her.
No, you can't import an ME1 save into ME3. It's sad, b/c I rented ME2 when it came out and haven't had it for years. Since I missed Arrival and Shadow Broker DLC, that will change soon.
you have to play both 1 and 2 if you'er going to import characters into or at least playthrough 2 using yje Genesis DLC those are the only 2 ways it'll work personally given I have all 3 for PC I'd choose platy through the first 2 first
You have to import a save from ME2 where Wrex is alive, which you do by either importing a ME1 save where he's alive or playing the interactive comic Mass Effect:Genesis before playing ME2 (it allows you to make 6 key decisions from ME1)
You have to either play ME1 and have him survive ME1 (he can die in that or you can fail to recruit him), import the save into ME2, play ME2 and then import the save into ME3 or use Mass Effect:Genesis to make key decisions from ME1 without actually playing it before you start ME2, then import ME2 save into ME3
That's what fucked me up when the Salarian Dalatrass and Asari were being stubborn. I'm like, "Hello? Mortal enemies working together here. You guys can get aboard any time now."
An a salarian doctor thinks that curing the genophage is worthy of all the future problems because, if the Reapers won, there's no problems to talk about because they're all dead.
@@baddoer Well, if both Eve and Wrex survive then they'll keep other clans under control + they'll be too busy rebuilding their planet and restoring the society. Pretty sure they'll develop their own methods of population control to avoid pass mistakes. After all only a fool would go against the strongest clan lead by a female(they do have more authority due to their value and wisdom) and the Krogan that cured the genophage
They kinda have a Klingon and carnassial thing going on, both warriors, but in different ways, and they don’t like each other..except when a new enemy emerges
The good thing I did its send Kaidan with kirrahe and his squad and then saved them an thanks to that they decided to help in any way they could even if their superiors didn't agree considering shepard an excellent ally
Narcissists can't comprehend it when their arrogance has resulted in the loss of allies. It's a symptom of the subconscious attitude that the universe revolves around yourself.
I feel the Dalatrass is really underselling Wrex, even the krogan. Sure, they had a exploding birth problem after the rachni war. Wrex had his life torn from him and all that and he thought he was just as worse. Then you come along. Paragon Shepard. You brought him along regardless of him being a merc. Treated him like a part of the team. You asked about his past and his family's armor that belonged to him. You got it back. Then it came down to Virmire and you managed to talk him out of it. You see him on Tuchanka as uniting the clans and what he learned from you. You fought to bring the one female back and cure the genophage, securing your place in legend. With Wrex, you secure a future for the Krogan AND their species as peaceful. The word Shepard means HERO!
But dont forget how Garrus and EDI was afraid about after war conquences. Garrus was hoping Krogans wont take down Wrex, EDI was telling how krogan can have a thousand egg in a year. But keeping rachni alive can balance their forces in future.
Dalatrass: "A bully has few friends when he needs them the most." Shepard: "I'm going to launch you through the airlock." Wrex: "What?" Shep: "Blame Javik, he had a thing with airlocks" Wrex: "Sometimes I don't know if the Normandy is a warship or a Freak Show."
I was never a big fan of the Salarians but Dalatrass really made me hate them (Mordin and Kirrahe are the exceptions). Trying to make my Shepard to betray one of her best friends.. Yeah thats not gonna happen.
I saved the krogan, rachni, geth and quarians. I imagine one or a few of them replace the asari on the council(you know they deserve to lose a lot more than that) and the salarians storm out making another seat or two available.
Maelon was also pretty okay and lets be honest, he is probably a living embodiment quote of the ‘ends justify the means’. Remember, if you delete his data, his unethical albeit hard work would be both for naught and you cannot create a cure properly without this data. Sure, his means were unethical, no question but his intent was in the right place. Most Salarians would not waste their short life on fixing practically immortal, neutered Krogan.
Linron is a politician. She might rule the Salarians, but she knows next to nothing about sullying her hands with hard work. And it shows, as STG and a large part of their military end up helping sheperd anyway, despite her crude misgivings.
"A bully has few friends when he needs them most!" She says as all three of you walk out of the room together, leaving her alone. Yeah, that statement REALLY hurts me.
