Commenting as I watch you place those little pieces of paper….such patience! Love the final outcome though. The stencil marks and stitching finished them off perfectly 😍Also a great idea for using up stamps!

Barbie these cards turned out great. You are really getting into the mixed media and doing a great job. I love that stencil you used on the cards and the leftover paint was put to a good use. Luise Heinzl calls the paper you made with leftover paint “collage fodder”. For me to remember transparent vs translucent, acetate is transparent and vellum is translucent. TFS🥰
Thanks for the clarification with the terms Pam .... I really have a hard time with that. You're compliment is very kind, thank you. I want to do more mixed media, I love it but still very, very new to it all. I don't like to use the term 'fodder' some day I'll explain why. Hi, Barbie! These mini collages are SO much fun! Love the Renoir stamps and all of the things you added. I have a subscription to Art Journaling and I should get a couple of them out and start using them for collage. Also have a ton of watercolors that I rarely use anymore. I had to do a bit of digging and should have done research on the stamps before the video and not after. 🤣🤣 I'm happy I could inspire you. Hi Barbie, I finally made it to watch this video. You make all this look so EASY. Why did you mix the black paint with the jelly stuff? Why not Just use the paint? Just to let you know I purchased those same paints at walmart. I made my first cover and am having a hard time getting my signatures together. Looking forward to your next video! Xoxo
Okay, Shay ......... I wanted to add a bit of relief to the cards so I chose to mix the black watercolor paint into the gesso, that's all. I could have used just the watercolor paint but it wouldn't have given it the look I wanted. 🙃 Have fun with the paints, I love using them. Congrats on your cover for your journal and just take your time in getting your signatures together. I struggled lots of time with the signatures so don't get discouraged of frustrated.... you'll be fine. Even though you say I make it look EASY ... I'm always sweating bullets while doing things I'm not use to or doing for the first time. 😂😂Don't be afraid to reach out if you need help with anything. xoxo
