Enjoyed: but I always enjoy watching you geek out on TdM 😉 CBD is a great clean deck, very workable and a great study deck, especially with the book. Adeck/book I also own. Tarot de Marseille - Edition Millenium is another great clean deck and recently just got this myself. Lo Scarabeo - The Marseille Vintage - I was so excited to get this, but I was so disappointed with the stock compared to the RWS Vintage Version. Granchier - W❤W - That's a newbie on me and looks great 😍 (Will certainly be checking that one out!!) Yes - the Spanish tarot - I think every collector has this and very orange 😊 - but a great deck all the same. Piantak - I love this deck, but I do love facsimile decks 🙃 The Golden Tarot de Marseille - Another Yes 😎 - I also have this and love it. It reminds me of the Visconti background - A great fun deck. Tarot de Maria Celia - I've always been on the fence about this particular deck. I love the size, the tin - maybe I should watch a flip through. The Squid. I agree, a great one for kids and the young at heart adults 🥰 (Do I have it? No - But I can see why you like it 🤗)

Thank you Mascha for your video. I was looking for a nice reproduction of the 1930’s Grimaud, and now I have found it 😊 Grancher is republishing this deck in November 2023. It will be cheaper, the box is different and I think it will come with a Tarot pouch.

This was great! I forget how many mass market Marseille decks we have these days. The CBD was sort of my first, it was the first one I went out and bought as a "Marseille learner" deck. I keep forgetting the Tarot Vintage Marseille, it's such a cool deck (I have the vintage RWS clone). I also keep forgetting the Maria Celia which has all those lovely colors. Thank you for sharing these beautiful decks with us. There's not enough Marseille on Tarot Tube, Mascha, thank you for being here with your channel and reminding us of all the different choices we have!

@@musingsbymascha I really like the Vintage and the Grancher in particular. I am fairly new to tarot, although I did have the Waite PCS deck when I was 17 (I am 65). Just recently it has come back into my life. I love TdM.

I love listening to you nerd out on the decks! I’ve had Tarot Piatnik before as well as a tri-color Grimaud. I learned to read on a Grimaud deck. It was my first one ever. I LOVE the Maria Celia- one of my favorite TDM’s. The Spanish Fournier is the one I’ve got my eye on at the moment… TONS of love to you, Mascha! 😘❤️🙏💕🪷

I loved your Old School Tarot de Marseille picks. I started my tarot journey with the CBD,the Golden Tarot of Marseille, Maria Celia and Earlier edition of The Mellennium Marseille later. Also the Spanish tarot marseille and the Piatnik Marseille. I love all of my first they will always hold a special place in my heart. But if I had to choose one it would be the CBD Tarot De Marseille. It still feels so good in my hands. I feel my Heart when I hold it. 🌖♎️🍷🍷

Obviously the tinned deck is my favourite out of all of these. I had no idea swords have to be curved in marseilles. I admit though, I get lost between all the versions that look identical except for a shade variation. So the last 2 would be my overall favourites for visual interest. 🌞💛🌻

@@AntoinetteTarot yes! You’re correct, Toni! 🌟🌟🌟 All Tarot de Marseille are pip decks but not all pip decks are Marseille! 🥰 But of course some non-marseille decks also have crossed batons & curved swords.. (I’m talking about historic Brussels-Rouen patterns).

I have the mini version of the Millennium deck. Beautiful deck. I don't believe at all in the deck's design underpinnings of sacred geometry, but it's a lovely tarot.

Hi Robin, Thank you for stopping by, and what a great question.🙏💛 YES! Marseille Tarots continue to excite me, and even more so, when I learn about the intricacies of individual decks. The more I read with Marseille Tarot, the more it draws me in! I do use illustrated tarots too, although not that much any longer ( however, most recently as you know my go-to deck outside of TdM has been the Old Fellow - but I possibly love it that much, because it feels like an illustrated marseille (style-wise, at least)). 🥰 With other types of decks, I very much enjoy lenormand and Italian vera sibilla.

@@musingsbymascha I think it’s currently my favourite deck Mascha yes. A couple of years ago I had one major clear out of all my decks. Sounds odd but I felt suffocated by them all and so I felt I needed to strip back, which I did. I gave them away and I had loads. I saved just three decks. A RW deck, Vincent’s and Tattoo Tarot deck and I do love this tattoo one. It’s just slightly too big I feel.

Loved this Mascha 🥰. I didnt know about that version of the grimaud thats close to the 30s colouring! What's the cardstock like on that one is it rifflable? 😂 I have a version of the cbd that came with total tarot magazine (I think its cbd anyway lol) but other than that (and the grimauds u have) I don't have any of these so this was lovely to see. Is Maria celia close to playing cards in size? X

Oh MY! I'm so sorry to keep asking more! But how do the 1930 Marteau MM cards shuffle? The original deck is thicker and stiffer card stock and I would love a more flexible shuffle. More or less like most mass market decks? THX. Anne

Hi again! I just compared my original Millennium to the MM version and noticed the obvious change in the overall color palette as well as design changes on the Page of Cups and Coins and the Sun and Star card. There are probably more design changes on other cards you didn't show. Was that intended by the designer, Houdouin? Do you know? I prefer the detail and vibrancy of the original myself. But the more flexible card stock is nice.
