Why don't they make some sort of rolling shade contraption for gardeners? You might try Super Thrive on your waning plants. It really does save the day on sickly plants. I very much am enjoying the growth of your gardens. You're doing a wonderful job!

On the topic of the drip irrigation set up, I have a couple cents to add for the folks running off city water. The backflow preventer is not necessary. What i did need that is often not mentioned was a water hammer arrestor. It’s the same kind used in washing machines and often comes in brass. I’ve noticed when the water is shut off I could hear it from inside the house. The hose spigot I used is outside of my daughters room and when she was little the noise would literally wake her up. After some research I learned it caused stress to the system, even if you have a pressure regulator (which I thought would help if maybe I places before the timer, but it didn’t). So having the ham helps the transition be a lot smoother maintaining the health of my valves.

Oh yeah Jason looks superb in that color. Please let Janey buy more plants 😅 Janey, how about you replicate the zigzag planter or any zigzag shaped something, a section by the long border and a section at the east side? I just love the zigzag structure in your space and thinking out loud 😂 I think this would add some cohesion and continuity to the entire space as a whole. Because when the time comes for that gazebo, it will probably clash with just 1 zigzag shape.

Looks fabulous. I use those timers in my garden. I use a black one gallon plant can and cut out a piece so I can slip the cam ocher the spigot and timer to protect it from the harsh sun otherwise you the sun fades the timer face and makes the plastic brittle. My timers are years old and look and work great. I just ordered an umbrella online and love it. Got here very quick with Amazon. I love my California 9’sunbrella aluminum umbrella crank lift auto tilt with 5 year guarantee. Hope this helps

I was going to say don't plant too close to fence if you plan on replacing it because your plants might get damaged in the process of removing and replacing the fence. FYI, when hooking up drip irrigation you may also find you need something called a water hammer. It’s an assembly that goes on the faucet before the timer. You’ll know if you need one if you hear a jolting bang when the water turns off.

I really appreciated your drip set-up lesson in this video; I’m still a little confused what it looks like at the plant end of the set up. Could you explain that more? Just a note, you need to secure that pipe that you attached your timer to. It wiggles way too much and needs to be secure, as the water comes on and off, it’s going to make it move and it could cause issues

Hey Janie, here in Central Ohio. Our ground is horrible hard as a rock, but I plant my little super bells from proving winners in the ground and as long as you give them a good start like dig the ground out like you’re digging for pot and put plenty of good dirt in that round spot, they’ll get a woody stem at the base of it and they will grow forever and you’ll have all these gorgeous little superb flowers trailing all around the ground. I wish I could post a picture in the comments and show you the purple Bordeaux last year or the blue moon I can’t remember what it was called, but it was proven winners, and it made it all the way to our frost in the fall Out I also did the dream sickle in the Ground the super bells
