Thanks for watching everyone. We don't get every deer we shoot at! Check out my new hunting page Hunt Suburbia, for videos of 3 buck kills, podcasts, and interviews with hunting legends: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Q4lNdl6To50.html
Had the bow set up at a pro shop. It performed just fine ru-vid.comUgkxQEKUoxLWwayEDZR0NKB-5limn4MBU-2L . And I would say this is a good starting now that I could pass down to my son when he is older. But the package was missing the release and a nock was missing from one arrow.Dealing with customer support was terrible. They suggested I buy a new release rather than correct their own quality control issue because it’s to expensive for the. to ship it out from China.Update: manufacturer got back to me and resolved the issue. I retract the above statement.
What always AMAZED me most about rattling in a Buck, is not that they would KNOW what direction the Rattling came from, BUT they seem to KNOW almost the EXACT SPOT.
Yes, I've come to learn that myself. He had a special instinct! Check out my new page where I post semi-live hunting videos, podcasts, and interviews with Deer Hunting legends: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Q4lNdl6To50.html
Same way bugling elk. You can call to a bull 1 time and he will come several hundred yards and walk right up to where were standing when you called, bugle or mew
Nothing like watching a big buck come in. So cool that they always seem to know exactly where the sound of those antlers or grunting are coming from. No matter how far away they were at the time they hear it. I've had my share of big buck misses, too. Feel your pain buddy. 🥲 The Gospel of John, when you're ready.🔥

Thanks Kenny, and it certainly is. Last year I missed this one, but this year I killed 2 nice bucks with a bow. Head over to my podcast page (Hunt Suburbia, just click my username) and subscribe there for more hunting videos and podcasts. Thanks!
Nice video. It was cool to see how cautious a buck can be. I had a mature buck standing still for 5-7 minutes once. Was good to see another mature buck exhibiting the same behavior. This is one reason some can live to 5yrs or more! Challenging to hunt one with these traits.

As long as i have been bowhunting, which this year makes my 45th year. Just getting a chance at a big buck is what we want. Congrats on seeing, and shooting. There will be many more opportunities. Great video
Nice video. We have all done it we've been there relived it in our minds over and over. Its part of the adventure. The big one that got away. You have proof. Lol
Last year when I missed him I did feel like I blew my opportunity at the best buck I'll ever have a chance at, but since that miss I have dedicated so much time to scouting and learning. I learn through my great guests on the Hunt Suburbia Podcast (which I started this year in September). Head over to my content page Hunt Suburbia and give a subscribe if you want more content like this! Thank you for watching!
Nice, great hunting in Massachusetts. I started a podcast and content page called Hunt Suburbia that is basically mostly Massachusetts hunting content and interviews with great Northeastern hunters. Go check it out and subscribe for more content!

did same thing 3 yrs ago...only my buck was a lot closer...enjoy the hunt and time being in the woods...develop a better game plan for next season to succeed....

I did, and for many days after that, but never got another chance. Check out my newest hunt video over here, where I shoot an 8pt chocolate rack buck on public land: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Q4lNdl6To50.html
Excellent video! I’m not a deer expert but I think Massachusetts deer grunt with a Boston accent . You really gotta channel that Leonardo DiCaprio in the call
Haha Thank you, check out my newest hunt video over here, where I shoot an 8pt chocolate rack buck on public land: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Q4lNdl6To50.html
That's just how it goes sometimes. I missed 3 times before I killed 2 nice bucks this year. Looking back on it, I am angry at myself for taking 2 of the shots I did. I wish I did not take them, but luckily the misses were all clean misses. Head over to my content page Hunt Suburbia and subscribe there for more hunting videos and to listen to our podcast. Thanks for commenting!
Bummer but don’t feel too bad. I whiffed on a nice buck in Townsend MA this year. Don’t tell anyone but Mass is getting a good crop of nice bucks these days.

This reminds me of when I muffed and missed a monster 9 point. Operator error, I hit the side of the blind while grabbing my bow! If you hunt you are going to miss at one time or another.
We don't get them all! I recently had a hunt where I thought I missed again, only to get down 45 minutes later and find blood everywhere. That hunt video is on my new page and you can find it here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Q4lNdl6To50.html
One time on the first day of the season, I shot at a deer, and it ran, I thought I had missed but when my dad found a huge circle of blood on a tree, and lung tissue on the ground, he knew I nailed it
Thank you Brian. This was last year and I learned A LOT since then. This year I was able to take 2 nice bucks (both personal bests) with my bow and 1 of them from the ground! My videos are now uploaded to this account (Hunt Suburbia). Head over there and subscribe for more videos and our podcast is uploaded weekly there as well. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I shot my crossbow at a doe this morning for the very first time. I think I missed him low about 50-60 yards. I don’t feel quite so bad. I’m hunting on the ground on public land. Think I need to get some antlers.

We sure did! That was 2 years ago, and I am not sure if he is still around or not, but I am on some other big ones. Man I felt your pain as I did n the very same thing during bow season in South Louisiana. I did redeem myself during rifle when he came back out at 174 yrds. If I just see deer to me thats a good hunt rhe meat is Langnape as we say down south
Ugh, sucks but we learn from it! check out my newest hunt video over here, where I shoot an 8pt chocolate rack buck on public land: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Q4lNdl6To50.html
Lol, it is not all about the kill. I recorded both of my hunts this year on my Hunt Suburbia page, and none of them have a kill shot in frame, but it's all about the journey my friend!

I know, me too! But the arrow was stuck in some bushes and never touched him. Check out my newest hunt video over here, where I shoot an 8pt chocolate rack buck on public land: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Q4lNdl6To50.html

Thanks for posting a REAL bow hunt! Great video, hunt, & experience man. I subbed you. Scroll down on my videos & see my 52 yard 6 point bow kill & my bug buck video. Thanks!
Big time. This was my first year hunting behind my new house on my small lot. I hadn't trimmed shooting lanes, was just using the natural lanes. It looked like there was an open shot when I took it, but when I got up to look at it there was a scraggly mess of branches there. Looking back on it, it was a dumb shot to take even if it was wide open there. He was at 45 yards, and although I am pretty accurate at that range, I was not 100% confident in that shot. This year I grew a lot as a hunter but still took a few shots I wasn't 100% confident in. I admit that, and will get better. I don't want to injure an animal and have him suffer. To listen along to my hunting chronicles and see other videos, head over to my new page Hunt Suburbia. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Rookie mistake, but there were a lot of branches from a dead bush there that you can't see really with the naked eye. The arrow hit those anyway. Check out my newest hunt video and Hunting Page over here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Q4lNdl6To50.html
Are you stating you didn't see any animal in the video, or are you commenting that THAT particular buck wasn't very big? In Massachusetts and any Northeastern state, that buck is a great buck. Every buck is a great buck up here. But he was 3.5 or 4.5 years old and mature, and anyone would be lucky to harvest him.
Thanks Jim. If you listen to hunting podcasts I started one (commenting from the channel now) called Hunt Suburbia. We hunt suburbs but also some big woods and film and record podcasts weekly. Check us out!
