I have the same tractor and my position control doesn't work. It will lift and lower but I have no in between. The inside lever(closest to you with the square knob) does pretty much nothing. Any ideas what I could look for? I'm going to try to change fluid and filters soon. Mine also has multipower(which doesn't work)
I had the same problem. Decided to put in a new hydraulic pump and that solved the problem. It was around $500 CDN for the pump and winter was coming on so I went with that instead of a rebuild. Not a bad job.
Can someone tell me what is wrong with my Massey Fergerson 165 Hyd.? I was going a hill using a box scrape and dropped off into a steep deep gully and rear tires came off ground as only the scrape and front tire were supporting the tractor. Speed of tractor keep tractor going and and tractor continued on but box scrape was all the way up and would not lower. Help. After tractor sits implement will drop to ground when not running but will rise upon starting tractor with control lever in any position. same with draft lever or any combination of both.
