Nice video I just got done rewiring my massey 230 found the schematics from the service manual that is on dvd purchased from the internet. I completely removed the old wiring harness and just started running wires with marine grade connectors and delphi automotive electrical plugs on your massey 255 I would have removed all the wiring harness completely but that is just me. I did ,however, added a ABC fire extinguisher mounted to the fender for fire prevention.
Is there anyway you can send me a diagram for dummies. Wiring isn't my strong suit and I'm having to completely rewire a 76 massey 264 and I'm having problems
Good video. I am working on a 1974 diesel massey fergurson 175 gauge wiring due to some old wires and one burnt wire. Now I appear to have some bad problems! I need to know how the oil switch is wired. I have 3 flat prongs 2 copper and one silver. There was nothing on the silver on and one going to the ammeter was burnt and wrapped with black tape. Many different gauge wires in it. Tried to go by the wiring diagram in my owners manual I bought and that was my first mistake! Just want my gauges to work! The way it is now oil pressure is stuck on 60 all the time and when oil switch is hooked up the starer kicks on constantly spinning!!! Disconnected the oil switch and the starter stopped that. Can you Help in any way?? Really would appreciate it.
Windy, I would suggest to retrace your schematic. Make sure you have the correct one for the correct model. I’m not sure how the pressure switch is wired and don’t have this Massey available to look at. Sorry I can’t help give your Massey dealer a call or visit and talk to someone at the parts desk.
Great video, I am about to rewire a 275, can you by chance share the part number for the fuel sending unit, the one I have looks similar to the one you removed but cannot find a replacement that matches? Thank you for the video

@@nashsummers8050 I'm needing to do basically the same thing to my massey 265. Having problems with the 2 fuses blowing. Because of one of them blowing its not allowing the alternator to charge. Where did you get the wiring schematic? And what discrepancies did you find?
