Ran a 510 for about 30 years with very little trouble! I sometimes wish I still had it. Engine always started instantly like yours! The only thing I didn't care for was the noisy cab. I saw you had the exhaust pipe turned out. I had mine upright along bin extension. That kept the rear hood clean from engine smoke.
Too bad about the tires. And others issues. How do you know it’s a 1976, just curious. My 510 has silver decals so think it’s mid production. A shed fell on mine before I got it, then a tree fell on it since I have had it(storm) Still looks pretty good all things considered. Cool old combines. You will have her like new again, hang in there
Where do you get parts ? I bought a 510 last fall she needs some work but I love running it. I’ve been trying to get parts for it but everywhere I call no one can get anything in Any info would be greatly appreciated
Can't blame Massey for you tire problems how many John Deere combines are still runn after 47 years? The new deers won't last a year before you are going back to the dealer for repairs to many sensor's will shut you down and you don't have a right to repair.the new Massey combine are not a Massey Ferguson design it agro there is nothing about Massey any more . R.i.p
