Probably watched a dozen videos to understand the principle behind the setup of that clutch, by far, this is the best! Thank you.

Thank you very much Lance! That's exactly the problem I have with my MF65, the main clutch works fine, but the PTO clutch refuses to work. So this information is very important. I will try to check those things you mention removing the bottom plate. Thank you very much!! A very grateful MF65 owner from Uruguay 😁

Just what I needed to know. I have a 165 that is grinding when I try to engage the PTO. Really enjoy the series on the 65, thanks again from Texa USA

Great video Lance. When I had the tea20 Ferguson engine apart a few years ago, I made a wooden clutch disk centring tool before I took the pressure plate of the flywheel. Hehe. Worked great to centre the clutch disk when I put I back together.

Hi. Lance. Done that PTO clutch adjustment on an MF many times. An old bit of snapped of hacksasw blade is just right as a gage. Some are a bit strange size bolts, allways have a 12mm spanner handy. Keep up the great vids. Martin. (England)

I think the originals were 5/16 inf but the replacements are now probably metric, I run into that a bit nowadays.

hey do you have a video on adjusting the clutch on the Massey 65?
@BundyBearsShed
@BundyBearsShed Год назад
No not yet, in the MF135 I did and they are very similar.

Probably a dumb question but if im planing on reusing the clutch do i have to put bolts in it to take it out?
@BundyBearsShed
@BundyBearsShed Год назад
No just unbolt it

So the feeler gauge goes behind the hex head bolt? I hear a hacksaw blade is a perfect fit for a guage?
@BundyBearsShed
@BundyBearsShed Год назад
Yes, between the hex head and the plate. A hacksaw blade is around 0.025" normally. Possibly a bit tight but it will work until the plate wears a bit. I like to go at around 0.060" it gives a nice pedal feel.

@@BundyBearsShed thanks, i got it done. I had a hard time getting it to buckle up for some reason but finally got that done. Now, i got problems with my governer assembly, i forgot where the springs attached and how the U bolt set. I wish i had a close up pic of that.

There is a video on the governor and setting it up on the TEA20

Oh man, I've definitely felt like that fella before with not taking out the transport bolts. So embarrassing. But ya learn something with the screw-ups.

Some of the best lessons learned are the embarrassing ones, I can remember a few.
