My mom used to work at Massey Ferguson in Detroit during the 60s that is a sweet tractor. I used to have the toys back in the day the tractor toys with the plows and all that stuff.
You need to visit your local dealer for pricing and options you need. these High Spec Tractors have numerous options to make them the way you need them and best to work with your dealer to customize it just the way you need with or without the options best for you
Massey Ferguson offers Basic Tractors and then the S Series is High Tech Tractors for farmers trying to maximize every minute of their work time. It's actually pretty simple because you can do even more advanced features like headland management that one button click will perform several tasks on the tractor how the operator wants. Once you set up this tractor it does it for the operator...it's a Smart Tractor.
There is one of these in my future some time to replace one of my 8660s. I'd order mine with wide tires, wide fenders, and air brakes. One feature I REALLY need is both 540e and 1000e pto and I have to choose either/or. 😑 The other thing I'd like to see is an exhaust brake. Other than that they are awesome.
Viscus Fan Drive does provide Engine Braking on S Series Tractors. Maybe not as much as your actually asking for but you do have that which helps when descending and need the engine to help hold the load back. This Customer Traded his 8650. He's using this in row crop and wanted these exact tire combination because that is what they use on their 8650 and works for their row configurations. I would highly recommend planning ahead and utilizing Massey Ferguson Pre-Sell Program and get it custom built exactly the way you want it. There is an extra discount when you do that and will save you a pile of money!
We have yet to sell an 8737S in our area. Sorry we can't help but the features are very similar if not the same for all 8700S Series Tractor the Horsepower is the main differences.
4700 Global Series is largest 2wd Tractor now from Massey Ferguson. No one that I know makes large 2wd tractors anymore. Just not efficient transfer of power to the ground.
