Just wanted to say a BIG THANK YOU!! I just ordered my gc1723e today with a bunch of attachments. When I started looking a month or so ago for a subcompact I was pretty much in the dark. Thanks to the effort and time you put into all your videos I feel I'm pretty well educated now and made my decisions confidently. I feel like I owe you a beer and dinner...... again....thank you!

It is amazing to see what owners are doing with this Lil Beast of a Machine. The only thing they lack is size and that's one of the big benefits is where it can get that larger tractors can't. Thanks for the comments and thanks for watching!

Hey Doug, I know it has been a while since you produced this video but I wanted to offer a suggestion. When I installed my third function kit I too thought the logical way to operate the grapple was this was as well. (clamping to the right). Well what this does is put the clamping force on or very close to the fast dump feature which in turn releases all hydraulic pressure and make it not hold the log or whatever you are carrying. It also makes it so the pressure slowly releases and will not hold very long at all. When I switched my lines to the opposite direction the problem of dropping the payload went away.
@VahrenbergImplement
@VahrenbergImplement 2 года назад
That's a great tip others might want to try. We install per the Installation Instructions but that is great tip for those that want to operate like you mentioned!

@@VahrenbergImplement I was working for a tree removal service and dropped a log on the side of the haul truck lol. Artillian actually said to hook it up the was it is now but as I stated i thought it was more natural to do it the other way which in turn caused the release of pressure.
@VahrenbergImplement
@VahrenbergImplement 2 года назад
We don't use the aftermarket Artillian 3rd Functions only install Factory Approved Kits. Personally I have not had any customers question it or have concerns but if that works for you that is what matters how you want it and gives customers an idea if they would like it that way.

@VahrenbergImplement
@VahrenbergImplement 4 года назад
While many like it not everyone gets 3rd Function. Instead of raising the costs of the tractors and adding the expense to all they offer as dealer installed option. If most of the tractors are sold with it then they might add as standard equipment. But for now not everyone wants the added cost.

Here is Specs for the GC1725M - FL.1805 Loader: • Maximum Lift Height at Pivot Pins: 74 Inches • Lift Capacity to Full Height at Pivot Pins: 922 lbs • Breakout Force at Pivot Pins: 1,392 lbs Then you need to take off Implement Weight (Grapple Weight), Skid Steer Quick Attach Bracket and figure in reduction of lifting capacity moved away from the Pivot Pin. This Implement is 205# so your looking at roughly 600# to 700# at Max Lift height of 74" or around 1,000# off the ground.

I cannot get over the deep dish steering wheel, and seating/work station ergonomics. The physics reminds me of a Chimp trying to make love to a beach ball. I hope Massey corrects this because it seems like a great SCUT. I am in the market for spring 2021, but sadly have to mark the 1725 off the list.
@VahrenbergImplement
@VahrenbergImplement 3 года назад
Might want to look at more than a SubCompact. To keep the size smaller on subcompacts to get into tighter spaces is why they use the deep dish steering wheel and seat ergonomics. Take a Look at the 1526 Mid Compact or 1825E Full Compact they are the same Engine HP but different layouts than the subcompacts. Check out our video titled "The 25's" it shows the differences between the Three 25HP Chassis from Massey Ferguson

Be much cheaper to purchase from local dealer and not have to pay freight. Truck freight gets rather expensive. Worksaver uses distributors and most dealers have access to these distributors and they have very competitive freight to ship a variety of products at little added costs.

I have a question because I don't know if there is something wrong with my tractor or not... 2020 Massey Ferguson GC1725M In fall I was backing up my tractor to my shed, the floor was about 8" above ground so I used car ramps to drive up the ramps and onto the shed floor. Tractor had backhoe and front loader attached. I backed to the ramps, ligned the tractor wheels with the ramps and got on the gas and the tractor wouldn't get up the ramps, full revs, full throttle and it would not climb the ramp which is maybe 10" tall. I had to take a run at it, at speed and then I barely made it up the ramp. Also in September of 2020 the dealership replaced some spring because when the tractor got hot, the hydraulic pump would whine so loud it was louder than engine at 2500RPMs and hydrostatic transmission was hot to touch. But why wouldn't it climb a 10" ramp ??? I am thinking about doing a video on RU-vid to show what I mean. It's like this tractor does not have enough power.
@VahrenbergImplement
@VahrenbergImplement 3 года назад
Which Range were you in? I would recommend Low Range has more Torque. Also when climbing hills or ramps 4wd is recommended.
@googlreviews7813
@googlreviews7813 3 года назад
@@VahrenbergImplement I was definitely in LOW gear and 4WD, shed where I parked it for the winter this year is not big, 16'x10' so I was taking it slow. That's why taking a run at it was making me feel uneasy, it almost seems as if the machine struggles to climb an incline when all implements are on, I also forgot to mention that beside the front loader and the backhoe, a 60" mower deck was also attached under the belly. (By the way, I parked it in that shed, and when i closed the double door (about 4.5" thick) entrance, I had about 1/4" of room to spare 😁)

Sounds like you need to get your dealer to check it out. Normally the Low Side has plenty of power.

@@VahrenbergImplement Thank you very much for your reply and suggestion. I contacted my dealership: www.deysequipment.com/ And explained to them my difficulties getting up those ramps and they also felt like the tractor should have had no problem getting up those ramps, even with all the attachments on it. Service rep told me that they will contact Massey Ferguson on Monday March 8th (Friday March 5th evening now) and discuss it with Massey Ferguson representatives and they'll call me back to let me know what was established... I will post my findings here once I hear from them, they are really good dealership with very good reputation, main reason I went with Massey Ferguson despite having employee discounts on John Deere and Kubota machines, so I trust they will look after this and me well. Stay tuned... 😊👍 There is also a new video on RU-vid of Massey Ferguson GC1725 bending its cylinders on the front loader and causing substantial damage to the machine... one of the comments in that video talks about Massey Ferguson upgrading cylinders on those front loaders at no cost to the costumer... here is the link to the video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xheF3p1yUZk.html I am curious of your take on this, I will discuss this with my dealership next time I talk to them.
@googlreviews7813

Also just thought of something... When the tractor was delivered to me, it was on a flatbed truck with exactly same implements attached to it as when I was trying to back onto the ramps and into the shed. So obviously they drove the tractor up even bigger and steeper ramps in order to get the tractor onto the flatbed truck. The main difference was they were driving FORWARD onto the truck and backwards off the truck, I was driving backwards into the shed. So my question or thought is... Does the tractor have different power pull depending whether it drives forward or backwards ??? Obvuously speed wise you can't go backwards as fast as you can go forward, but what about torque in LOW range? Will it climb same incline going forward and backwards ???
