Hi all
Another recent purchase is this original MH820 tractor
Built in Marquette towards the last half of the 1950s
I have had to do little work other than an engine tune up to sort it’s misfire and rough running
A fun little tractor to drive and easy to transport

Exactly an ideal tractor for smaller farms and smaller fields as it’s pretty manoeuvrable

What is the type and number of the spark plugs are using . A friend has one that needs plugs.

Found this having just walked back from leaving mine in the field. Not been running for years and I am having fuelling trouble. Do you know if the choke is on or off on the solex carb' when the lever on the carb is straight down? Mine is a bit different to yours as my spark plugs are on the top the starter motor is on the nearside the exhaust is under the tractor and it is 12 volts. Mine is also a French import.

That is because yours is fitted with a Peugeot engine

@@jamesbinns1232 Thank you James did not know that and still have not seen any the same as mine. It is now a reliable runner but my mower is now unreliable but it has mown all the nearby roadside verges this year.. Thank you for the response James.

5 speed? Americans only get a 3 speed.

Yes that’s correct, although the two extra gears aren’t much different in ratio and it still has a top speed of around 14mph
