This is the 1st time I've seen a guard act like this at the Cannes. Every year that women are allowed to pose on the red carpet and pose on the stairs showing an elaborate pattern on their backs, for example... That is what makes the Cannes FF unique as other famous people from all around the world are invited and wear gowns, accesories, jewelry from sponsors. Parade and pose on the red carpet and stairs.. WTF, is this security guard doing - and only to selected ladies too...

What was the guards job? To over do it and ruin photoshoots; treat seasoned red carpet entertainers like 2 year olds not used to stairs? The danger was her hovering toooo much and getting on people nerves going back and forth with them on the stairs; now that was dangerous.

It is an occasion for artists to celebrate and promote their work, and likely the only chance they'll have to attend the event. Security staff has a duty to abide by the rules they are trained to enforce, and i understand, but if that guard , or anyone else, tried to block my moment, she would be rolling down the stairs like a slinky

WT.....Why is this guard doing this? She was worse with this woman than Kelly. That guard needs to be let go. She clearly is a jealous hater. Since she still has a job, she must have been told to be aggressive with certain people. The guard should not have been walking side by side as if she was with the stars. Clearly, SHE wants some attention and will do whatever to get it. She was the reason why the photos taken didn't go smoothly or as planned. As someone who has dealt with managing events I understand the ushers/guards have orders to keep the actors moving along but the staff there are clueless and tactless. That whole encounter with the Jesus dress lasted so much longer than it should have bc they didn’t allow her the 7 seconds to pose with the train exposed. Whoever manages the staff at the Canes Festival should be fired for grossly under training the staff on how to tactfully and respectfully move people along bc now the Festival looks like a joke who hires people off the street at the last minute & hires bullies who laugh and get an ego trip on ruining the evening for people. Ain’t no way I would go if I was a an actor invited after seeing this. Why waste all the money to dress up for the event to make contacts and get exposure if you will be harassed by staff & not get the exposure that you should be afforded by accepting the invite? THATS HOW THESE THINGS WORK. If the stars stop attending, the money stops flowing. If i was a producer I also wouldn’t be thrilled about my movie being featured here knowing how they kill the vibe by harass people and invade their personal space & ruin actors nights. the lady usher should 100% also be fired.
