Yes, you can put a light coating of grease onto it. However, there should be a port that goes from the engine into the shifter housing. Hence the seal and gaskets.
@@tjssmallenginerepair is there is a port but no lubricant on the gears. I only had 32 hours on this machine. You can tell they didn’t put anything on the gears. I have replaced the clutch on this also!! The lubrication on these Hisun are Not good at all! Mine is a 2014 Coleman. I hope they have improved on this if they want to stay in business. GA TJ, question for you. On a Bennche 700 Bighorn. My fuel injector two prong plug appears damaged. Where can I get another one or even a part number for an auto store. Thanks for any info into where I can get the part.
Thanks for the video, worked great and solved my issue. Is there a torque spec for those case bolts. I put them to 60 in-lbs for now. Mine had a lot of wear on that top seal...I'll have to do that in the future.
I have 2017 Mossimo 500 with 17 hrs on it. Issue is Mossimo 500 will not stay running unless the idle is high, but will not go in gear. Turn idle down, it will shift into gear, but will not stay running. Was in the shop for this issue, but they could not fix it. They tested all the fuel pressure, fuel filter, etc. all good. They said could be a vacuum pressure issue?????
I just bought a 2022 massimo 400. It's brand new. Never ridden. My question is it seems to have quite a bit of vibration from the handle bars is the normal. It's just sitting in park. Thanks
Had same exact problem with my axis 500.. Only 13 miles on it and fan gears rusted right out.. Do you have the part #s for fan gears? Think you posted part #s but couldn’t read them.. Ty
Great Video. I wished you would’ve showed how to get the oil seal out. They didn’t send it with the kit. I know how to but maybe you might have to better way. I hope you didn’t take that wrong. Thanks again for the video
I just used a flat head screw driver to pry it out. Make sure that when you do this that you note the depth of where the seal is seating in that cover. Then just use a socket that is almost the same size as the seal and tap it into place with a plastic hammer.
TJ, my msu 500 is stuck in low, and the fan gears are fine. Is this something you've dealt with before? I'd make the almost 4hr drive if you could fix for a fair price.
My dad bought one and the throttle is stuck wide open whenever you try to push the pedal no matter what gear your in. Got it from a dealership and they wouldnt help at all, any help would be greatly appreciated
I have a 2021 access 750 that will not come out of gear unless you turn the machine off and select a New gear . I replace the fan gears Still have the same issue. I noticed it was going into gear really hard.
Did you change the oil before installing the new parts? With how milky and nasty everything was on the gears I would assume that whatever is in the gearbox is in the same condition. I ordered the parts and then this question occurred to me hoping you can get a response to me sooner than later as the repair is waiting for your answer we trust you and really appreciate the videos!!

The part number I listed in the video is actually to a cub cadet machine, as they are identical seals. If you search the part number, there are plenty of aftermarket sites to aquire the seal.
