Shoutout to you for helping that guy reach a fair price and not taking the higher offer when he asked. Shows some real integrity and is good for the hobby! You the real one, SCI
Regarding dollar boxes, I'd like to suggest a segment for the show where you challenge multiple people 1-4 hours to find the highest-value card in a dollar box, then see who wins (based on MarketMovers data).
Also would be great to have a "wanted list" kind of app for rare (numered at least) cards to vendors. I put my wanted card up which vendors could see and let me know if any of them has it. This amount of cards can not be browsed or checked out even if the National would go on for months.
I know. I would have said. Eh, I’ll come back later. He could have got that for 10k or less. But he is doing way better than me. So what the heck value do my words have. Haha
So cool, but intimidating at the same time. The cards that someone new to collecting is looking for are usually under $100, maybe even under $50. To feel pressured to pull something huge that's worth thousands of dollars sometimes sucks the fun away from breaking wax.
Man that Trae Young Nat treasures was insane!! Damn I would love to see that in person!! Basically all the cards in this vid were just simply amazing wow!! Makes my collection, which is pretty good btw, look like peanuts!!
Thank you Geoff for showing us here in Europe the biggest card show on 🌍……these are great videos for collectors here in Europe…..😁 take care , greatings from Belgium 🇷🇴
I'm surprised the IRS isn't on the card dealers these days especially with all the cash deals going on. I won't be surprised to see a sweep coming soon especially with the people spending thousands
I was drooling over those Bulls auto jerseys, the guys said they were sitting at his parents house for 20+ years.... makes me wonder what other cool stuff is just sitting at somebody's parents house collecting dust!
Loved the content man, thank you so much for showing the National for some of us who couldn’t make it.. hopefully next year.. you’re really a big reason for me starting up my channel!! Thank you so much for all you do to the hobby !!
Hi, what am I missing on the A-Rod?!? I see the foil variant priced all over the place! Can someone please help educate me? I have 3 of the SP foils in mint condition..
Nice cards! Wish the I could go to the nationals one day!! Living in Hawaii, that’s one disadvantage is I can’t just make a weekend trip of it just for cards, my wallet couldn’t handle it right now, soon…thanks for sharing the experience!
The 1994 SP Alex Rodriguez card continues to be one of the most underrated cards out there. If he was in Yankee uniform on that card and had played his entire career with the Yankees, that card you purchased for $15,000 would be valued at over $1 million today. Nothing against Derek Jeter, but A-Rod was much better than Jeter both offensively and defensively. Jeter just has the pizzaz of being a Yankee for his entire career. The same can be said about Hank Aaron. My dad got to see Aaron, Mays, Mantle, and others of that era play. He said Hank Aaron was the best among all of them. So, why isn't Hank Aaron's 1954 Topps rookie card selling for more than $2 million in PSA-8 condition??? Congratulations on that mega purchase! I have a nice specimen of that 1994 SP Alex Rodriguez rookie card. If I could suggest something, I would suggest you put that card away and keep it for your son.
@@raymondbarata2924 well, I guess that's better than being a life-long alcoholic like Mantle! Imagine what Mantle could have done with that short porch at Yankee Stadium if he had not been drunk all the time! Personally, I would love to see Dale Murphy finally make the Hall of Fame. Unfortunately, his voting was in the midst of the steroid era. Voters were watching McGwire and Bonds hitting 70 homers in a season. So, players like Dale Murphy and Fred McGriff got screwed over. Oh, and by the way, A-Rod's baseball idol growing up was Dale Murphy. That's why A-Rod wore the number 3 with the Mariners and Rangers.
The national was great. It absolutely blew my mind! The prices are insane! I thought I was doin okay, til I seen I was the poor one in the room. I only had a couple g’s to play with!!! Crazy
Geoff, just wondering, do you have the Michael Jordan 1985 “Star card” rookie by the Star Company. Hoping you can make a video someday on that card versus the Fleer 1986 Michael Jordan. Many consider his Star rookie to be the actual rookie.
bruhhh he aboslutely fleeced that dude on the jeter rookie auto! the comp he showed was an auto grade 10, but the card he traded for was a gem mint 10 omg....
When you said at the beginning sam is at “camp” and “go Pittsburgh” we’re you referring to Steelers training camp cause I was also there for that pretty cool!
