Great score brother. Thanks for the shout out..👍🏻.I have a Enfield revolver like the one you have in .38/200-.38S&W along with two Rossi Model 68's and a S&W Model 10 with 2" barrel parts kit coming from HL....Im hoping 🤞🏻to get it next week..Then i will do a unboxing video..Again great video and score.👍🏻👍🏻
Whats most frustrating to me is their lack of a full inventory of what they have to sell. And ads dont appear often in the Firearms News. I certainly wosh theyd step up into the 21rst century and grt s nice websute as well as accept credit cards. Id make a 1,000 dollar order if I could use a crard!
Well, as true as much of that may be. IF they stepped into the 21st century you would no longer be able to score milsurps at the low prices you can get from them now. Think it thru
So, as always, I love your videos, but a few points. 1. My issues with HL aren't the rust on their firearms it is the super long delay and lack of communication. Also at some point can you list what you paid and what you got; it is hard to judge if it is worth it otherwise.
Yes sir, thank you and totally understand, I'm putting out a video tomorrow addressing what I paid in part 1 of 3. Going forward, I'll identify what I paid in each video.
Looks more like a 1917 smith. Victory models were marked on the grip base and us property on top of the frame beside back sight groove. 1917 s were marked on the underside of the barrel. Steve C.
hi, enjoying your new items , the enfield revolver is a late war model the early ones had the kings crown on the right hand side just in front of the grips, the mark on your one is the later with just the D E ( they are put together so you end up with a "D" with a line in it , the numbers on the barrel on the left side are proof marks , the early war model was both double and single action but this was dropped to speed up the training of troops, the uk government were taken to court over this model of pistol as it is a copy of a Webley design and was made with out permission from webley!! the smith and wesson are interesting pistols made in the us for lease lend and under the paint you may find clues of who used it , i have had them with new Zealand , Palestine, Australia, south africa and uk markings on, the long bolt in the parts bag looks like an enfield stock bolt, if it has a square end to the thread its for an smle and if a normal thread is for a no4 or post war/ indan smle, good luck with the new projects, and look forward to seen the next items best wishes from the uk chris
thanks for the review for comparison, mine arrived on Friday and I have been cleaning them up. pretty much same condition as yours. The No 2 mk 1 doesn't get a lot of love but i really like the very British personality. might want to check if yours is the one or two star. I got a one star which means no hammer block. Also got one with wood grips which is pretty neat. My S&W's were complete but with scrubbed markings, could just barely make out "US Property"
You're very welcome. That's cool on the wood grips, yeah, I like the odd flair on that Enfield revolver for some reason. When I get time, I'll dig it out and do a follow-up closer look to check it out. In terms of the S&W, I don't think mine was scrubbed, but it definitely has some rather thick black paint on it (reminds me of the Enfield rifles). I might possibly refinish it so those markings are visible...I'll really have to think on that.
Hey Casual, Shabbat Shalom! Looks like the start of a good haul! Yep, I wasnt even close in my guesses from the promo vid lol. Just curious, could you give an estimate on how long your HL orders are delivered grn the time the funds clear? It's weird as I've gotten a couple in like 2-3 months, yet another two I'm still waiting on and it's been 8 months😅 I'm gonna have to ask James about the Enfield pistol.... that's pretty cool.
Hello sir, Shabbat Shalom! No worries. So it took about 2.5 months on this order, not sure about the funds clearing, because I sent money orders and honestly didn't keep a check on them. I know James rushed this last order because I had to leave for TX for work and didn't want it arriving while I was gone. I would definitely recommend calling and talking with him about your older order.
@The_Casual_Collector haha! I get that! Yeah, i talk to James once or twice every two weeks. Unfortunately, for the last 6 weeks he keeps saying/ he's knows they shipped and is going to get me a tracking # but.... that's not actually happened. Thursday this week he said he was getting to the bottom of it and would call me back before end of day but.... that also didn't happen. I expect Ill get them eventually. Meanwhile, I keep ordering more hahaha. I am really happy with the 4 I've received, especially the FR8. Waiting is difficult but thankfully, waiting on the LORD has given me lots of practice 😉
I LOVE Hunters Lodge unboxings. I'm wanting an FR7 fixer parts gun. How do you buy stuff they're not advertising? Talk to James???? You've bought more here than I've seen or heard of ever......Their ads says FR7. Wonder if they're really FR8s? I always thought 7s were 7mm. 8s were 308. All I know is I sure wish I was in with James as thick as you are. Any edge you can get in getting extras or better stuff is awesome. I guess I need to request as complete a FR7/8 as I can get. I called and left a message to see what I need to send total cost and email them. Never got cal or answer back. Does James have a direct email? Maybe for a fee, you could order stuff for me and get me better stuff? LOL
The FR7 is a 93 action converted from 7mm to 7.62mm then converted to the FR7 pattern. The FR8 started as a 98 action before conversion. Some folks think .308 is a bit spicy for the 93 actions, recommending firing 7.62 NATO or 7.62 cemente.
@@traviscochran6280I had a couple FR8s that needed stocks years ago. Ended up selling em once I put stocks on and have regretted not keeping one ever since..
@shawnoandrew keep calling, most of the time messages are never returned because their voicemail system is messed up. Like I've told others, often I've called upwards of 30 times between 1pm and 4pm. Yes, I received 2 FR8s, they're in my part 2 of 3 video coming up.
@Wicked505 I have a video dropping at 12 today explaining that, but the S&W victory was $200 and the Enfield was $125. James did say they had very few of the S&W ones left.
You're supposed to check a revolver's cylinder lockup by pulling the trigger, holding the trigger in (not releasing it) and then wiggling the cylinder.
This one took roughly 2.5 months, but because I had to go out of town for a couple of weeks for work, James expedited it so it wouldn't arrive while I was gone.
@@The_Casual_Collector my last firearm order took 3 months which I found reasonable from Hunters lodge, however my resent order I have yet to receive and it’s been 5 months
@@texascastblast5011 ouch, the only thing I can recommend is getting in touch with James on the phone, it seems shipping times can vary greatly from order to order unfortunately.
@@texascastblast5011 yep, I literally will call every 5 minutes for like 2-4 hours until I get James...sometimes I'll do this for like 2-3 days until I get ahold of him.
