@CrysisSucksatGaming it's not. The meat is being roasted in the same way, but gyros use a flat bread like pita. Those are tortillas and pineapples on top.
@CrysisSucksatGaming it’s not Greek. It’s based on the Lebanese food shawarma. Lebanese immigrants moved to Mexico and the made a pork version of the dish and used tortillas and became Al Pastor.
Good question, but it's rare to have meat left over. Each taquero knows his customers and knows how much he sells. A trompo like the one in the video weighs about 70 or 80 kilos and everything is sold before 2 in the morning. In extreme case there are letf overs the employees can eat it or refrigerate it. About the bacterior, in fridge the food can be preserved 2 or 3 days without any problem and meat can always be refried and its safe.😊
@@khalilabushahin418 In fact the word shawarma is derived from the Turkish word çevirme, which means turning/it's turning. In Turkey they call it doner kebab, and apparently from what I've read doner also means turning... Everybody does their own version now, but the best I've ever had was in Egypt long time ago, when they still used lamb, and the fire was charcoal. Today it's anything goes...
@@khalilabushahin418that's actually Called Trompo It's an alternate version of the Original shawarma From Lebanon It's made with pork and it's served in tortilla's as a Taco (If I got anything wrong abt shawarma u can tell me and ill fix it)
I moved to the Midwest from California. But there was a place in California about 10 years ago that I used to pay 50 cents per taco. For 20 bucks I would get 40 tacos. Show up and feed all my friends.
