My younger brother committed suicide last weekend by overdosing on something. He was found with headphones on, presumably listening to something. This is his youtube account. He made a playlist containing 6 songs that was edited the day he passed. This is one of the 6 songs. With the method he used, he was dead after about 30 minutes, probably unconscious around 12 minutes. I like to think that it was peaceful for him with his music on. I love you Darius, I'll miss you everyday for the rest of my life..

As a human being who has been in a womb for 9 months I can confirm this is what we sing everyday and why my mom can feel the kick

For those who don't know, this song is composed by the lead singer of Cocteau Twins Elizabeth Fraser, at the time she wrote the lyrics for this song, she was dating Jeff Buckley that unfortunately happened to die of drowning in that same period, i guess no more explanation is needed, this song represents grief in all forms, the melody, the lyrics and the overall energy of the song.

Bubba absorbs everything... and why wouldn't we... our mums energy is transferred... hopefully for the better.

Vocals are performed by Elizabeth Fraser, former lead singer of Cocteau Twins, who also wrote the lyrics. It was released on 27 April 1998 as the second single from the group's third studio album, Mezzanine

I lost my uncle in an accident in 2022. We've been slowly trying to sort out his stuff and we recently managed to figure out the password for his iPad (it was his own birthday haha). I had a little look and went into his music, this was the last song he was listening to on it. I started listening to this song in early 2023 after hearing it in House and I loved it, I didn't ever know he liked it too. He had a great, diverse taste in music. Miss him every day ❤

God's honest truth - way back when airlines used to have those 'radio stations' to listen to on their planes, this song came on just as the aircraft (that I and my family were on) was coming in to land at our home city and at night after we'd had a fantastic holiday. It ended just as the plane was coming to a stop. It was like the end of a movie or something. Whenever I hear this song, it always reminds me of that incredible few minutes... along with a whole bunch of other memories.

This song came to my feed today and it’s really touching because I am currently in the grieving process of the fact that I cannot have children and this video is so interesting and has touched me today. I will jam this music and song until I successfully adopt a child.

I first heard this as the “theme song” to House back in the early 2000’s and fell in love, looked it up, found this. I used to play this song to fall asleep to, it invokes a deep sense of peace and… nostalgia for me. It’s beautiful. So is Jose Gonzales’ of the same name.

Heard it after another day of being bullied at school. It gave me a warmth I never knew. It consoled me through pain. Its connected to so many memories and feelings and sceneries, its like the warmth of the sun made a tune to me. Thank you Massive Attack.

I honestly believe that what sets this song apart is the intro. Almost a full minute long, it sets the mood for one of the most hauntingly beautiful songs you will ever hear. Elizabeth Fraser was described as having "the voice of God". After hearing this, it's hard to argue with that.

I remember this song started playing over the tannoy while doing a overnight shift at work...and everybody naturally stopped speaking and just let the song play out first ...never had a song had that much power to control a room...its simply beautiful.
