Good job! What i learned about myself though: If i cannot keep it organized, i still have too much stuff. So i did not need a better system, i needed less stuff. Now it is easy: Everytime i see disorganization, stuff not having a home, I know its my cue to get rid of something. Also: Since i have a pretty minimal wardrobe, washing, dring and putting away cloths is a breeze. I have enough stuff for 8 days (outerwear) and a little more for underwear and thats it. No more piles.

We found out my grandson has a very large hydrocephalus at 3. Today he is 20 no issues just part of who he is, we are so greatful. Prayers to your grandson and prayers to you❤

Hot tip for anyone needing cleaning motivation: sit through a few episodes of Hoarders-extra points for anything that has poop in the title- and watch as your indecisiveness melts away and your focus and motivation becomes razor sharp. You’ll be surprized with just how deep you’ll clean and how much stuff you’ll be willing to unload just trying to make that feeling of second-hand claustrophobia or disgust that the show reliably leaves you with.

You should donate 50% of everything you own to a local church charity. You have a lot of stuff that is not serving you or your mission to be a better home maker. Cutting the material objects down by that much might seem crazy, but it will be the fresh new start to a fresh new year. I was in the same boat! And I’m still a maximalist with some things but it felt so good to donate and also clear out my space, it cleared up my mind and i helped a lot of people with clothes, pots and pans, decor, ect! And now i only own things i truly love and appreciate.

Well done Merina on the de-clutter!!! I need to grocery shop myself but I hate doing it, things cost so much now!!! I organize by season with clothes. I hang whatever the season is in the closet and put the other in a bin. That way you're not going through them all to find something to wear.

The best time to shop at Aldi is on Wednesdays or Thursdays after their new weekly ad starts and their truck comes in - that's when they're stocked the best! And they're usually not busy which is always nice!

You ought to put your clothes in groups like skirts dresses shorts etc. You could buy containers to put on top of your white shelf. Store winter things when summertime. You can put your cushions in vacuum bags to take up less room. Great job done

Great job!! It's never too late to declutter. I'm in the process myself. I have 20 years of stuff to declutter now that the children have their own homes and mom has gone on to Heaven ahead of us. So fsr I have about 10 garbage bags full of clothes and shoes and about 8 good sized moving boxes of other stuff stacked up in a child's former bedroom, just waiting to be carried out to the truck.

An idea for helping the clothing purge process - when you rehang clothes put the hangers in backwards then as you wear the clothes put them back with the hangers facing forward. That way when do another purge it's easy to see what you never wore.

Great job y’all! Yes! On making the waffles and pancakes! You can freeze them and just pull out as you need them. Shane we forgive you! I’m declutting my closet this week! This is a tip that I use so maybe it will help you. Less is best! I look at my stuff and say to myself the memory of things is in my heart so if I’m not using or wearing it than it goes because it is a blessing to someone else. Pass the blessings on. Keep you sentimental shirts and make a patch work quilt out of them.👍 Also, I dont know if this would help but I rotate my clothes out in my closet. During summer I put my winter clothes in bins & vice versa. It gives plenty of extra space.

@@fearfullycreated you can buy the big 5# bag of pancake mix at Walmart under $10 that you only add water to & makes a huge amount of pancakes/waffles. There are lots of RU-vidrs that have posted "bulk" freezer cooking that saves tons of money. Can take a couple hours each week & do a few things each time, saves time & money in long run.

Omg! That is an enormous amount of junk food. You really need to make your kids eat better. Don’t you realize how excessive this is? This borders on child abuse. One snack a day is more than enough. You are setting your kids up for diabetes, fatty diseased livers, high cholesterol, poor bone density and tooth decay. It’s your job to teach your children proper nutrition.

I started making my own waffles & pancakes and French toast for my kids. I put them in a freezer bag and freeze them right up. They taste just as good when reheated!

That declutter… GIRL… you did the doggone thing!!!! Also, look at your WalMart and/or Sam’s club at the Great Value brand for Chocolate Chip frozen waffles. They are harder to find/get now, but they do have them. They taste so similar to Eggo, to me and so much less. As you said though you can make and freeze your own waffles and pancakes for much less than even the store brands, and you can make them per your family’s preference. Thank you so much for sharing with us, Marina! Also Shane did well on the decluttering, too!

THE BEST organizing method is Clutterbug. She breaks it down into 4 categories based on whether you like detailed organization or not and visual vs hidden. How funny... I cooked meatloaf tonight and my onion powder was stuck like that. I had to stab it with a butter knife to get it lose again. 😆 🤣

I don't usually defrost my burger meat but, I cook it on low in a frying pan with just a bit of water. I add onion powder, real garlic 😋 if I have it, garlic powder if I don't. I did that when my daughter was young. I would make alot of extra waffles & pancakes put them in ,individually person freezer bags. All she or my son would have to do is pop them in the toaster. They taste just like I just made them. Neither one liked them heated in the microwave..GREAT 👍 JOB!!!!
