You should try Kon Mari folding technique. It works. You can see everything in the drawer at one time. If you always fold when you put things away, it works great.
You might try a seasonal switch. You could bag and shrink the off-season clothes and put them up top in bins or in a suitcase you use less frequently. Under the bed also works. If you did that, you might have room to hang jeans and pants or place them in the dresser.
There is a way to fold blankets to make "pillows" I love to do it with soft blankets like that because it holds them together. Normally they slip all over the place. 😂
