I see there are many comments telling “It’s a Dragline, NOT a Shovel” so I will just Explain the Difference between the two… ✅ A Dragline digs from Down below the machine from far out and down to right up in front of it, and has at least One Drag cable and hoist cable as this one with the 95 cubic yard bucket… A stripping Shovel digs from in front of the machine up Close to Outwards and Up ⬆️ with a Totally Different boom setup that is generally shorter in length/height..!!! 😎👍👌
They must have to X-ray the ground this crane is on in order to get that close to the edge. Any cracks underneath the ground could be a doozy from that height.
then tell us how much it does weigh and its capacity. Big Muskies bucket weighed 210 tons, this is not that size, but its at least half that size. Big Muskie could also hold 295 Tons of material.. Let me know when you have an answer
That’s not even 1/4 of the size of big muskies bucket. I would say it’s somewhere in the area of thirty five cubic yards, at 1.5 ton per yard, it’s tonnage capacity is around 52-53 ton. Comparing it to the 992 to the left of the spoil pile, it probably weighs around 50 ton. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a large machine, but nowhere close to big Muskie.
