Hello Everyone! #1. After spawning the boss and mob, I forgot in the moment to grab a treasure card for the boss at 8:35. However, I catch myself at 21:00 and do the extra attack rolls as needed. #2. At 16:00, I had a counter attack against Elias. This couldn't occur. When a counter attack happens you follow the rules of a regular enemy activation except for one thing. The enemy cannot move out of a space with another hero in it. Because Elias was a space away and Goblins were melee. No counter attack would have happened as the Goblins can only focus their counter attack on the hero that attacked them. They would then attempt to move but can't because Whisper is keeping them occupied. So the one damage Elias took will be removed! Enjoy! :)
With the channel taking a major focus of my gaming time I haven't been playing Massive Darkness recently. On Monday's I have friends over and we tackle a game. I think it's a good time to go after the game if you're interested in it. The prices have likely come down with time and you could probably get a great used deal. Check your local board game swap page on Facebook. You'd be surprised what you can find!
Late, but I really enjoyed this episode! When that troll spawned, I was thinking that maybe our heroes can take out the remaining goblins, run into the room, grab the key, and then bugs-bunny it out the unopened door and run for the exit! Looking forward to part 2.
Great that you made the effort to film this play through. As a KS backer and reading the bad reviews here and there, I got the feeling the game was really broken after the rules changed overtime. Now I can see for myself how it plays out and get a feel if it's fun to play. Thank you!
+Suds On The Roof Thanks! Appreciate the kind words. I also checked out the rulebook prior to the end result of the rulebook. Was a bit of re-learning as some things had changed. But I enjoyed the game overall. It has a spot in my collection. I think it makes an excellent alternate choice to Zombicide. Or potentially one that boosts the game with the compatible cross over cards. Sits nicely in that entry level dungeon crawl category.
Loving this play through, had this games since it came out on Kickstarter but only played once. I now have a plan to paint all the minis and get stuck into it.
Another thing you forgot... And you even predicted it yourself. ^_^ When Whisper attacked the first time you should have negated a defense result. It would have ended the same way, though, with two shields blocking one sword instead of three shields. Just pointing it out so that you might remember later on.
haha That's right! I noticed this after but like you said; moot point. Good eye Fredrik. I'm going to have to watch those abilities to make sure I take any advantage I can get going forward. Wish me luck :)
I know this is late but, you said Whisper gets to negate a defence shield only if he is in shadow Whisper's first attack each round is considered to be in shadow whether he is or not. This is what his special ability says.
