One time I was at AK, using My Disney Experience on the website, instead of the app, and for some strange reason, the page wouldn’t load, and Stitch was there. A cast member overheard my grief, and asked if Stitch had eaten the page. Somehow that interaction made it better, but yes, instead of a boring 404 page not found, it loads an image of Stitch eating paper.
From somebody that is blind. I greatly appreciate you guys explaining and describing items. When shown on screen. It’s one thing I love about when you guys post articles. You guys going into good detail about each item, which is great for those that are blind and or visually impaired 8:14

I’ll be more than happy to answer. with technology nowadays there are a lot of accessibility features built into devices like on phones and all there is what they call voiceover or talk back where speaks every item out on the screen for me. Which is how I knew you asked this question. And then there’s also dictation, aka speak to text. which is how I am typing this out right now. But I also can type things out manually on the phone. It tells me which letter I am pushing… This next part that I’m going to say. Please do not take it the wrong way. I am just putting it out there as a general statement. And not saying that your question is leaning to this side. The stereotypical way that blind people are portrayed or to be thought as is totally false. Blind people as long as they put their mind to it can do a lot of stuff i.e. create videos and have a RU-vid channel like myself. Have a successful life and businesses. Along of a lot of other things. The technology nowadays is so incredible that is being offered for the blind/visually impaired community that it is unbelievable. But once again, I do appreciate you asking your question.
I am totally blind. I’d like to thank you, Tom, and everyone here for describing the merchandise and other items you show on the screen. It helps me to find that merchandise when I go to the park, and it helps me to describe what I’m looking for to my sighted friends, particularly designs on hats and shirts. As someone who is blind I really appreciate the descriptions you give especially since I've watched a lot of videos where it's assumed that everyone can see what's going on
Very good news segment! I loved the Bob Gurr Funko thingy. Oh, and thank you for putting that cast member petition flyer on the screen so visibly. I used the QR code to sign the petition to support the wonderful cast members. They deserve to have fair wages, especially since they really make a difference in the park. Oh, and the Peoplemover doesn't have to come back (great sign)... but it would be nice.
I hope the workers get a fair contract. I have encountered several rude cast members over the years-but I understand that happens when you are underpaid and unappreciated .Disney already has over increased prices while taking the cheap way out regarding attractions and shows. There really is no excuse for not compensating employees better.
You guys are awesome ❤ I love that you try to be inclusive! As someone with family members with visual and hearing impairments any accommodations are always appreciated by those who use them.
I also appreciate the audio descriptions of the merchandise, as I tend to listen to this newscast podcast-style while exercising or doing other things when I cannot look at the screen. Thank you!

As an IT guy please don't say it's an IT outage. The issue is a piece of software from Crowdstrike. This company pushed out a BROKEN update to their software. All companies that use this software are suffering from major issues stemming from the application. Bluescreens etc. This is not an IT problem its a CrowdStrike problem. IT makes it sound like IT staff is the problem. It's not. We are working HARD to get people back up and running. If anything it needs to be reported as "Cybersecurity Software from CrowdStrike" is causing the issues.
IT systems have been down. It's being described as "the largest. IT outage in history". The cause of the widespread IT outages is software from CrowdStrike, which we describe in the show. I am not sure what your complaint is.
@@WDWNThe’s correct. This is not an IT outage. Information Technology department is still there and they didn’t cause it. This is a software glitch not an information technology problem. But i agree that many are reporting it this way.
If my computer isn’t working, do I call CrowdStrike, or do I call IT? It doesn’t matter if the root cause was some software update, if your “information technology” device doesn’t work. It’s like this, let’s say there’s a “cable outage.” Are we saying that all cable is out for everyone, or just all of Comcast? There is a service disruption, in other words, an outage. So we will call whatever help desk number we are given. Your internet uses that cable service, so you call support for that. The person in that sad little call center answers your call, has you restart your computer, modem, etc. When someone asks them what they do for a living, do they say “help desk?” “Third party call center?” Or “IT?” Yeah, they’re IT. There’s an outage, involving IT. They didn’t cause it, and they probably can’t fix it, unless they can revert back to yesterdays software, pre update, or magically get a Linux or Mac computer to run the exact same services they needed for the day.
Putting all your IT in the cloud is not diversifying your systems like it is sold, it is basically putting everything in one basket for single point of failure...i've laughed so much since this huge trend started...
I may sound like an ass, but base pay is 20.00 an hour. As a Clinical Medical Assistant, I have never made over 19.00 an hour with 20 years of experience. I have assisted in surgeries and saved lives. Please tell me what job at Disneyland deserves more money than someone like me? It honestly BS
It’s quite nice and considerate for you to give descriptions for those who are visually impaired. You’re more accommodating to disabled folk than Disney is after the das changes.
Mostly all the injuries at WDW happened to senior people with preexisting conditions. Don't these rides post warning signs at the entrance if I remember?
So the injury report is interesting but if you consider the number of daily vistors, how stupid people can be and per-existing conditions it's always a surprise the numbers aren't higher.

1:27 well obviously we need to ban rides at Disney world if all these people are being injured. If we should ban alcohol because one in 1000 guests are irresponsible , surely this statistic of injuries on rides needs to be examined. Theme park rides are dangerous and should be outlawed.
It's happening all over the world. Here in the UK they are asking people to pay in cash at tills, most people don't have cash. Speculation time.... This could be a test before they run the real thing coming up which will force the people to accept digital currency
Would airlines get shut down? (Meaning this doesn't seem like that's what's happening here imo) The switch to digital currency is already happening in the US, in part. Places like airports don't take cash since 2020 still. No, I don't think a fully digital currency is good for ordinary people either.
@andromedaspark2241 I heard this morning on the radio (central Ohio) that a ton of flights were missed with no explanation or timetable. A lot of first responders were down too (thankfully not 911). I WFH and we've been down with no way to log in all day long.
