This is a very good alternate farm to change things up a bit. Also, make sure to run into the mimic in the Overworld, so it takes you into the mimic level, also, don't punch it.
@@kelpie64 Run all the chest up to wargtooth (Including the chests by the graveyard and the mountain). Much better spawn rate I get 1-2 per run. sometimes you can get 0 mimics.
This farm is really great. It isn't more efficient as chaos runs, but it is easy. I used to run mimics before I started chaos. You have enough encounter to kill 3 big mimics only, which is the best loot pool for the encounter. I suggest doing all the chests from the start area up to the the entrance to Wargtooth Shallows. You are practically guarenteed 1-2 mimics per run. Out of 100 runs there was only about 15 times I didn't find atleast 1 mimic. Most common place I found one is by the Shattered Grace entrance and Second set of chest coming out of the Valley entrance. DO NOT PUNCH TO OPEN THE CHESTS!!! I have never gotten a mimic to spawn by opening the chest with a punch. The golden mimics (Motherlode Mimics inside the encounter) are melee kill only.
@@CMRock-xx8wx Don't just do the first 5 or 10 chests, lol. The more chests you open before reseting the run by going into an level, the better your chance of spawn.
@@SmallAndSoft Your game must just hates mimics, lol. For me and my other friends, that play, don't have that issue at all. Maybe some people just have a weird save file or rng table seed?. The featured run right now 4-10-22 in the chaos chamber has a mimic floor right before the boss atleast!
For anyone that's interested. it is more rewarding to run whole map from start to finish. As you open all of the chest on the way you get a lot more of mimics to spawn. It is faster becouse you dont wait for loading time and its more consistent.I usually get at least 5 of them to spawn. It take less than 10 min to run whole map.Just make sure to not do any camps on the way. It seams that as you open chest after chest it increase the chance for monster to spawn.
Duuuude! I’ve literally killed like 5 of these. Damnit! They just sat there. So I punched em in the face. It was very satisfying at the time. Now I’m kicking myself.
Okay so, other than looking at a mirror or multiplayer (if it does), is there a point to cosmetics? Doubt there is 3rd person view, just want to know if there’s abilities or anything that would let you see your character. (Something like Destiny) Sorry if it sounds dumb, been planning on buying since it looks rad.
@@noRagretz there is a 3rd person in overworld. it's literally the same as any other game in terms of cosmetics, if it looks cool we want it. Just like people who spend millions of dollars on skins in cod when you're only ever going to see it in killcams or the lobby.
@@noRagretz The graveborn action skill dark sacrifice puts you into 3rd person for a few seconds but you only get to see your back, there is emotes you can that also put you in 3rd person, when you die you go 3rd person and stay in it while you respawn, the Brr-Zerker action skill dreadwind puts you into 3rd person. A couple other actions skills might do it to but those 2 are the only ones im sure of.
Mimic spawn rates are no where near as high as you claim. It works but they spawn about one in every 20 runs for me. Just turns into a gold farm instead at that point
Jesus, i get the mimics that are immune to everything except melee and at chaos 20 they literally do not die. Thats the inly types of mimics i get no matter what
I think there is serious diminishing returns, the first few runs I was getting a mimic every 5-10 runs then after about an hour or two I had a dry spell where my next spawn didn’t happen for 67 runs. I should’ve given up around 30 but I was curious to see how long it was going to take to get another
you can mimic farm in Zomboss as well if you ate farm them. 5 chests with a good chance one is a minic. id say 1 in 5 or better. but this is the best way for sure i just wanted to add this
Went to try this myself and mimics seem to be way too rare. Not only that, but when they do spawn, I get softlocked and the level never loads. Strange.
I don't know. After several cycles, lost count after 20, only 1 Mimic showed up. If you ask me, the Mimic proc rate needs to be raised. Even in Dragon Keep they were more frequent.

Hey folks, not that it is guaranteed information, but if you read the tips and tricks at the bottom of the loading screen, it states that the more people you party up with, the more it increases the enemy count and the likelihood of special enemies appearing. Perhaps could also have something to do with it. Note: I attempted this method solo running about 20 runs, nothing. Turned on my fiancée's copy of Tina, loaded in and joined the party on hers, got a mimic encounter first run. Food for thought.
I have a question, does this game have round 1 to 5 maps like borderlands 3? Like map Slaughter Star 3000 for borderland 3 game, does this game land of wonders also have this feature?
When I finaly got a mimic and killed them they ended up not dropping anything for me except for cash. After I cleared it all I dize showed up and gave me some shitt loot
What nobody, and I mean NOBODY, on the internet is telling in these videos and the blogs and my question: WHEN do they start to appear. Do I have to be at the end, can they spawn early and with lower levels... or what? There's not even a wiki yet which tells this... I would really like to now since aside from the first big mimic encounter in the graveyard, I have never seen another one in the game so far. Thanks for helpin out guys!
Faster for me to just do a chamber run, also a chance the mimics will be immune to all damage apart from melee and for some build that's just a guaranteed waste if time
@@FrostThornbut this farm is more for legendary world drops. I don’t always get legendary‘s on chaos runs. Not to mention you’re not wasting 30 minutes if you spawn an invincible mob you quit out and repeat the process. If you’re doing it right you can spawn a mimic about every five minutes.
I just ran this route 20 times and have yet to encounter a single mimic on Chaos 20. When I first encountered the mimic in the early game I punched it rather than going into the level, so maybe that broke the increased spawn chance? If you did the same I'd advise you to do literally any other farm.

the end game is pointless, you cant use your leveled characters to replay the game. so what is the point? If you cant get to max level in a solo game with whatever gear stop playing and read a book or something.
Does anyone know at what character level legendaries start to drop? I'm aprx lvl 14 and I've only encountered one Mimic chest and it didn't drop any legendaries.
