@@TMcCarrick Yep agreed, secondhand Ebay shopping had become my fix for a while but I had to temporarily delete the app cos it was kinda becoming a problem 😂😂😭
I’m so excited to see you highlighting estate sales. I’ve been a Ho for estate sales for a long long time now. Here’s a great tip- If you go a lot you will noticed the same few companies constantly do sales in your area. Take their business card, get on their email list if they have one, and become friendly with them. They will remember you and will be much more inclined to work with you on price and they might even hold things back that they think you will be interested in.
I’ve only gone to one estate sale in Houston and got Levi’s for 50 cents, Ray Bans 75 cents, and a gorgeous handmade/painted plate from Turkey for $1 😳 it was so cheap but I got lucky haha
Omg 😱 the vibe of that house and those clothes.... just wow. You did so well to grab just 3 pieces lol that DKNY top is my fav. Thanks for always making awesome content xx
Macy, the restraint you exercised...all that Bakelite (?) OH MY GOD. All the pieces you got are absolutely iconique. I wish I could've been best friends with that dope ass queen who left all that dope ass fashion!!!
Yay you posted! You are the one who inspired me to go to an estate. I subscribed not too long ago. I have been to two estate sales so far. I absolutely love seeing the home and thinking about the people who lived there. I got a Marc jacobs bag for 4 dollars! Sending love from Seattle ❤️ and your boo is so cool for going with you and having a good time
I thrifted 2 Dior 70s nightgowns. I think it has something to do with the fact that I just binged Bridgerton. But I’m a classy lady whilst doing the dishes, working, going to the gas station, lol. So I wanted that night gown matching set in my life. I loveee everything you got!
What a fab sale, I wouldn't know where to start, I actually saw a vintage glass table, of which I have the identical one, it was gifted to me, that was quite exciting to experience, you my Queen got such beauties, again one of which I happen to have in a different color, the small yellow bracelet, I thrifted mine, many years ago, gotta love a preloved item/moment, enjoy your treasures, stay safe. Peace and blessings Namaste 🌻🦋
The round hand basket with the carved whale is usually valuable. It's called a Nantucket basket and they're handmade and not that many are available. Often they sell for a lot on Ebay. Keep your eye out for those. Good for resale if you don't feel like keeping it.
Love love love this! I'm in the UK currently still in lockdown but have never ever been to an estate sale.. definitely something I'm going to do in the future!!
@@riannatripp6594 I'm sure there would be! in the 'richer' areas definitely. I would have a research online! They probably aren't happening at the moment though
You've got some stellar 80s lucite jewellery there 😍 I wish we had Estate Sales like this in the UK 🇬🇧 I'm so jealous! That DKNY top is INSANE! Love it!
Look down currently in the UK so definitely living for thrifty content 👌. Miss it soooo much. Unfortunately in the UK we don't have estate sales so super jealous. I think I would have spent all day there lol. Stay safe and keep it up 👸 Queen
The DKNY blouse is awesome. I have some costume jewelry but I recently donated 2 boxes to an organization which helps fund their breast cancer program. I downsized a lot & kept a few pieces. The owner of the estate hands down had more than I did
I almost didn't click on this, because I get so jealous of these estate sales. I live in Sonoma, and we don't have too many. When we do, there is tons of competition and not much good stuff, especially clothes, since most people here just wear jeans and tees.
i’ve never been to one and i’m thinking of going to this one tomorrow! do i just walk in? how do i make an appointment? how does it work?! i’m so clueless when it comes to these things.
Most of the time you just show up but I’m not sure how different things are because of covid. Try to find the sale on EstateSales.net or online somewhere to check if they have any instructions for whether or not you can just show up!
Either the gal collected allllll that stuff or they had extra stuff from prior sales that they put in there because WOW! Insane amount of stuff in there 🤣🤣🤪 ps. Speaking from experience, I know they add stuff from prior sales because they did that for my grandma’s (still living) estate sale🙃🙃🙏🏻
This was so effing cool omg, I don't know if estate sales are a thing here in the UK tbh and even if they were, I don't drive which would make it kinda impossible but regardless I LOVE watching you go to them lol Also you probably already know this but Covid can't survive on fabric material for more than 24hrs so you don't HAVE to wash everything you were wearing to be covid safe. Not that anyone should judge you for doing it anyway, even for unrelated germy reasons lol. But just wanted to let you know since washing clothes more often than necessary can shorten their life span.
They're basically an easy way for people to get rid of stuff in a house once the owner of the house dies. So instead of taking all of the stuff to thrift stores or whatever, you set it up like a store and sell all of the things in the house ! Sometimes they're more like auctions where you have to bid on the items and it's less like a store that you walk through.
super thrift in la Habra good the other super thrift mission ok.... you need to check out As thrift stores. value village cheap and GREAT finds!!!. Tucson goodwiils very good CA stores expensive GOALS estate sale... one day ❤❤
Estate sales kinda make me sad if they are because someone died. Like if a woman loved all those items and had great memories with them and now they are just there like little sad orphans. I dont know... Im probably just PMSing...😢
if it makes you feel any better this woman didn’t pass, she just moved 💗💗💗 but for the most pet estate sales are to help take the burden off families, so they don’t have to clean out their loved ones home’s while also grieving.
Personally I lost my grandma due to covid but her house was sold before that and I wish we did a sale because the burden of having all those things is so much! Just some perspective
