You know , I've been doing a lot of thinking . I'm sure that everyone using those extra wide carbon fibre chassis bases acts like a wing underneath the cars . More often than not if a bit of wind gets underneath them , they still flipping take off . Now if the carbon fiber base was thick enough and shaped like a wing but shaped for negative lift ( meaning no lift ) it would stick to the ground . But I'm absolutely sure a flat and chassis wide base just isn't the way to go on RC cars , especially for fast speed runs , because there is just far too much of a chance that once too much air catches underneath it it's flips and tosses like a pancake 🤔 . A slimm chassis base , with an aerodynamic body with cut outs for air to escape out the back of the car and having a double acting diffusers am sure is the best way forward for faster RC'S not taking to the air . A double acting diffuser means a triple affect of the air flow going over the top and middle and underneath of it , means keeping it planted the ground , but also let's all the air flow through the top of the chassis and escape through the rear 🤔 . With all shelled RC cars the air flow always messes with all cars around the wheel areas and the air still gets into the top of the chassis and under the body shell , and it's still going to happen even with the body shell wheel top cut outs 🤔 .
