The fights were really fun to watch! Reminded me of season 1

As an LN reader this episode kinda saddens me with how they cut an entire sub arc of bonding between Elinalise and Rudeus, with Elinalise acting as grandma towards Rudeus. While it was expected they would cut it, as it doesnt add much to the plot, it still feels a bit sad.

Nah us ln readers were actually quite happy seeing those fight scenes and the thing is that they really did Skip a lot of the monster fights and exposition about them, so they did Skip a bit of things this week and those monster fights were basically a summary of what actually happened

The journey in the ln is like 6 chapters they cut so much, Like someone Rudy and Eninalise travels with part way actually dies on the journey when they are attacked by banditts and we learn so much more about the lore and culture on Begeritt also a funny moment when rudy gets eaten by a sandworm

"I would've skipped most of these fights." They did. There were two succubus fights, the other involving giant bats Fights against raptors Multiple scorpion fights Multiple sandworm fights Evading giant chickens Waiting out for an army of giant ants to march past Multiple fights against gryphons (the meat came out of a gryphon kit later on) an ambush by a bandit horde, where Rudeus set traps and a mist cloud to enable their escape, so he might've killed some of them.

Nevertheless, some other battles were also cut, for example the phalanx ants (I don't remember the exact name), sand worms, desert treants, the lore of the behemoth was interesting too (the massive white creature seen in the distance), but for me the confrontation with the bandits was the biggest L in this ep, because it brought up Rudeus's dilemma about killing humans to survive. Cant wait for the next one.

What Paul did was revealed in the transcript for the discontinued mobile game. Half of Paul Gaiden got into the game before it was canceled, and that bit of the story ended with Paul violating Lilia when he was 12 and escaping her father's sword hall. Paul's adventuring and the disbanding of the Fangs of the Black Wolf didn't get a chance to be in the finished product. Two months in they were already having a row about it and Zenith passed out. The doctor they took her to revealed she was pregnant. Paul immediately declared he's disbanding the party. THE GRUDGE: Paul said he never needed the others or saw them as family, even if he had some fun. He reiterated his intent to disband the party, leave them with Zenith by his side, and that he's taking the reward money from their latest request. He did everything he could to push them away, just like he did with the gang he took charge of around the time his mother died and had to leave when he got roped into Lilia's sword hall. Difference is, the gang leadership back then saw what he was doing, and the Fangs members took him at his word. Ghislaine and Geese had to hold Talhand and Elinalise down when Paul left. He took the reward money as party leader (which he'd normally equally divvie out to the members), formally disbanded the party, and left for Roa, where he begged on his knees for Philip to give him a job and a roof over his and his wife's heads. Rudeus was born about two months after that in Buena.

They skipped a lot of important parts in that desert scene... Like what if I tell you that that's the moment where Rudeus CONFRONTS HIMSELF because he KILLED someone for the first time. Begarrit also has one of the best cultures. It's a culture based on outsmarting the succubus. I do like how it shows off how Rudeus can easily, EASILY get killed here without Elinalise and how Elinalise is just so wise, perceptive, and intuitive. It's just sad that it's skip
