Memories of the Future - people call this the "greatest twist" in all of fiction or TV out there.

I'm glad you understood how Grisha was able to see them. You got it right! Not many reactors got it

S2 EP6 ''Warriors'' was the reveal of Reiner and Bert as the Enemies. That EP made history as one of the biggest and best written and produced plottwists ever. Unbelivable, that Isayama in the moment he got prices for that Episode already wrote THIS Plottwist for S4Ep20 ''Memories of the future''. This Ep is not just one of the best written and best produced twists in TV ever, it enchants Season1-3 too completely. There are many hints and clues for the Attack Titans true ability and things were always foreshadows without anyones witness. Once in a lifetime show fr changed the paradigm of storytelling.

You got it right regarding how Grisha could see Zeke, incredible. Also this explains why Owl said his famous lines back at the end of season 3. Those weren't his own words, those were Eren's memories.

The comments will probably explain it well enough but eren was like “chrome casting” his own POV directly to his dads memories for him to see eren and zeke going through them, pushing grisha to finish the mission.

Durring Frieda's speech remember that the wall fell and Eren's mom was getting eaten. So he was super pissed.

Gabi and Eren are identical lol. I can't be mad at Gabi for defending her home. Even if she killed my girl Sasha, she did nothing wrong

the first hint of memories of the future was back in episode 1 and when kruger says "in order to save mikasa and armin" when those two aren't even born yet.

Grisha said Eren didn't show him everything when he was going crazy after killing the family so its possible Eren didn't show him how this all ends

Erens like "Hey Dad I know you ain't a bitch cause I ain't and I come from you so why are you hesitating?"

In the first manga chapter, you actually see Grisha staring at old Eren, when he talks about the basement..!

Once again, props to Grisha's VA. He absolutely went off in this episode. And even though Eren tries to act all like, "I was tricking you all along, brother. I would never go along with a plan like this" for most of this episode, I think Eren actually does care for and love Zeke. And the reason I say that is because we see that when Grisha tells Zeke to stop Eren, Eren forcibly rejects Zeke from the memory. Meaning Eren could've ejected Zeke the moment the Reiss family was taken care of. But he instead chose to wait and allowed both Grisha and Zeke to get their own form of emotional closure before cutting them off. So yeah, I think Eren does care for his older brother. The same way that Zeke cares about Eren and wanted to show him the light of his plan, Eren cares about Zeke but won't stop moving forward to reach his.

You got it right with the memories being in erens perspective.
@SendYouToGod

To make it simpler for you, the only reason Grisha can see Eren / Zeke is because grisha is seeing from erens pov. He’s essentially watching himself in third person throughout this situation.
@Tyrantofthewind

I love how Zeke's plan was desperately trying to show Eren how Grisha was a bad dude who manipulated him, only for him to realize Grisha was much more complex and that Eren was the one manipulating him. Who would have thought that giving an emotionally stunted guy who in season 1 declared he was going to destroy the world a doomsday device was a bad idea. Oh right, Reiner said it twice, and anybody with a brain could have seen that coming. Keep in mind that Grisha has seen some fucked up shit and he said "never could have imagined it would be so terrible" in regards to Eren's plan.

You're one of the few people who can actually say things like this. So many people are blinded and biased and side with Eren the whole time, even after the twist.
@nnightkingj
@nnightkingj 2 года назад
Also keep in mind that spite initially ring against it and knowing what happens after he knowingly gave wren the power because learning of Carla’s death he is an accomplice in what happens when he had the chance to stop it from happening
@nnightkingj

@@MarikitKaNa there’s no bias n blindness it is 100% wrong to persecute an entire race of people who know nothing for things they didn’t do and have no memory of that is undisputed fact and objective no bias

TOP TIER REACTION! Mitch guessing correctly that Grisha sees from Erens POV was great analysis. Ill wait until next episode to see if you guys need some clarification with the part when he kissed Historia's hand. Also, when Grisha says "but I never imagined it would be so terrible" here's the script they used in the dub: "I've witnessed Eren's memories, what humanity is about to endure is far worse than I could imagine" 👀 Can't wait for Thursday!

Just a reminder: You already knew Grisha asked her to help before he killed everyone. That was not a "twist" or new information. The only thing they did was show more of the dialogue and thought process of Frieda. But up until Grisha dropped the knife, we already knew what went down.

This episode cemented the true villain of this show. You know it is not the same Eren from Season 1-3. It is an Eren bent on annihilation, one who re-ignited and infused further hatred into his father in order to slay the Reiss family and subsequently the murder of countless innocent people into the future. Grisha was a changed man; he wanted a better solution to the current conflict. But Eren would not allow him and fed fuel to the hatred stored within Grisha's past. If such actions are not villainous, then nothing is. Grisha: I saw Eren's memories of what comes next. But I never imagined it would be so terrible. Facts Brilliant storytelling by Isayama. Such a fresh and original piece of weaving a storyline. Magnificent show!

I liked Gaby pretty quick.. Actually.. I started to like her right after she killed my Sasha. You know what I did at her age?! I was looking for shiny Pokémon. But she showed some spunk! She was very annoying though, but I knew she'd come around!...

next eps is my favourite eps of AoT its imo journey to this point that makes this one of the best show period also for the future memories thing they can only get glimpse like short clips of certain key parts but they themselves dont know what is inbetween/how to get to that point which is why grisha asked why dont eren show him everything
