I knew the shed was going to be a mess but because I never go in there I wasn’t sure how bad it would be. It was pretty bad. So much junk in there and so many ruined items from critters making a home in there 🤦‍♀️
I’m so happy it’s cleared out and there is actually room to move around. I can’t wait to get in there and set up some functional and awesome organization in there ❤️

Great job! My husband and I just did a clean of the whole basement and had to split the throw away items into 3 trash days (3 weeks). We do have a "junk man" that comes around the night before trash pick-up and he took all the metal items. Yesterday trash pick-up I think I saw a sigh of relief on the trash person's face when they saw we only had 2 bags. :) Looking forward to more yard cleanup. Have a great week.

This weekend is my "Spring clean" weekend where every inch of my house gets deep clean. From ceiling fan to floor including baseboards and doors. I absolutely hate doing it but going to bed on Sunday night knowing my house is really clean is the best feeling.

I was calling out to the screen when you were working up your courage to just go in and deal with it - go on in there, Jodi, you are a warrior of the clutter - get ye gone, clutter and rubbish! But I did laugh when Donna-Jean stood back away from the shed with absolutely no intention of getting anywhere near it all - it was up to warrior-mum to vanquish the mess 😊

Last summer, our boys came the weekend of Father's Day and helped my husband clean out the garage. Some of the stuff got moved to a storage shed. Apparently the door didn't get shut all the way, so we discovered a couple weeks ago tha everything in the storage shed is COVERED in mouse poop and pee. 🤮 So last Saturday, we took a huge load to the dump and a good sized load of stuff to the donation place (only stuff that was inside bins and protected). No more storing stuff. Use it or lose it. So anyway, I feel your pain, Jodi. And I totally understand being grossed out. It's warranted.

Magnificent job! Oh Jodi I am terrified of mice and that is what used to invade my shed until I foam sealed all the cracks. Once I left an open bag of grass seed and they had a heyday in there all winter. I keep everything in crates now so if anything did get in they couldn’t ruin it. Bleach everything down. I used to keep broken things thinking I would fix them someday but no more, now they go directly to the alley. The metal men pick up any of that and we have big item pickup every 6 weeks. That is so much space! I can’t wait to see how you fix the floor, my mind is reeling!😳Love this video Jodi, thanks!

How fitting that hubby is squirreling the extra trashes away so that real squirrels can raise new squirrels in it 😂 and I believe very well that you can go NUTS over his behavior, haha 😆 Away from my silliness, great progress as always! You are auch a workinghorse now you found your system and pace, while throwing out garbage you radiate from energy. Wish I could get some too 😅 But in the beginning you look very sad and exhausted, is everything ok? I feel your pain. We have a shed that is so full of stuff that we’re dreading cleaning it out. It’s literally so full that we can’t get another thing in there. And it’s all stuff that we initially took out of our house. We no longer use. We’re trying our best to be somewhat minimal. We’re getting there but oh goodness when you live in a town where there’s no donation center of any kind you just pack it away until you either hear/find someone in need or you take as much as possible to the nearest one. Several miles away in our case.

Our barn is on our to do list before winter. We need to replace the floor due to storing our old swimming pool pump that continued to drip water after it was emptied! I really hope we don’t find termites! Next spring it gets a new roof and new siding. We already decluttered the barn last month when we rented a dumpster to do our attic. I personally get freaked out thinking about spiders being in it so I HARDLY EVER go into our barn! I’ll be glad when this project is done!!!

What a satisfying cleanup! We lived in Michigan for a year and a half and battled chipmunks the entire time. They’re the actual worst. Love that you now have tons of extra storage space, hopefully you can keep those little stinkers out of it!

Looks amazing Jodi. This has definitely motivated me to tackle our garden shed (which is like a little one room cottage). It is full of stuff that really needs to go into the garage, be donated or binned, then we can hopefully move ahead with our plans to turn it into a home gym/studio. The more I declutter, the easier it becomes - I have seen your confidence grow in your decluttering journey too. You are so motivated to just get the crap out of your home and I think it has had a big positive effect on yourself and your family. I’ve always found you to have a bubbly personality, but now I feel like you sparkle with enthusiasm. ❤️

Great job on the shed. I need to clean out my closet so bad it’s a walk in but I can barely walk in lol. I’m recovering from surgery and just don’t have the energy. I did finish my Nautical wreath finally and straightened up my bonus/craft room last night. I love Clark and Tom. I have a toy poodle named Cocoa and a cat (tabby) named Mittens. Look'n good! You should put a shallow work bench on the side and a big shelf at the back to use the space to ur advantage and get the tools of the floor! Jealous of the large space!!

Jodi, what a fabulous job you have done with the shed! I've had another Monday clearing the loft ... no dead bodies!!! Phew!!
