I'm already thinking of making an absolute bizzare of a weapons when this update come out. Gravity cannons that shoots homing rounds, drone swarm bombs, smart missiles without a turret guiding, mobile railgun sniper drones thats staying outside of a weaponry range and shooting from afar, multi-segmented ships consisting of several independent sections that's bound together with AI follow control, defender drones that orbiting the ship, creating a dynamic regenerative barrier... The possibilities are endless!
Mainly looking for good guided missiles. Especially since we now have small batteries and small H2 tanks and even small merge blocks :) With not just AI but also Event controller it might be best to get the benefits of both a *guided missile* and a *cluster bomb* Have the "missile" guide to target and then deploy a cloud just a few seconds before impact. Like the railgun rounds in The Expanse, flying for miles, and shotgun-bursting before impact.
Same here, if the new blocks work as I expect we'll be able to create a 1x1x4/5 guided missile (depending if the remote is needed or not). Can't wait for the update!
One block that has also been teased twice but has not gotten much attention is the small connector. It can be seen on the disk shaped drone (between the tails) and on the ore drone. It looks to be a modification of the current small ejector and will probably render the 3x3 connector obsolete in many cases. With the small connector able to transfer ore, ice, stone, ammunition and gas, a 3x3 connector will only really be required to transfer components and bottles. It is my hope that the small connector will be able to connect to the large and 3x3 connectors without a problem.
Something tells me this is not the solution PB banners are looking for. It may be a less sever inlet for server instability, but a guaranteed significant source none the less. Should be fun though.
Yes you can. Combine remote control, and some timers, enter target coordinates and you should be good to go. As soon as the grid ai blocks are out you can also add those to implement the homing into target functionality
