You get paid 1 years worth of 60% of your salary. You can apply for up to 18 months of parental leave, but you still only get 1 year /60%. A lot of people will take 1 year due to this, but it is an option. Parents can share the 18 months and can even take time simultaneously. Ex: mother takes 15 months leave and father takes 3 months with the first 3 months of babies life having both parents off to care for baby. It is flexible. There are also other childcare credits given to parents as well. There is likely more to this, but I haven't experienced it personally to know all the details.

My son was born two days before the induction appointment too! But he was stuck. Horrible experience. My first was progressing fine, but the doc was delivering another baby and didn't want to leave and have to come back to deliver so she had the nurses constantly trying to get me to consent to pitocin until I gave in. Also a horrible experience. Pregnancy and childbirth 0/10 would not recommend. 😂

He, like all of us, is broken over this and I’m sure he tried to give Cam more but listening back, Cam always talks about hating LA and missing home so much. Cam has been such an amazing addition to the show and I’m sure we’ll see him pop in from time to time like he contributed before he joined, but ultimately this is his decision, we gotta respect it, as hard as it might be.
