Actually that's pretty cool. I want to see what it looks like with a 1/10 scale crawler sitting on it. I kept hoping your were going to set one on there, lol. nice video..
You and Matt should totally make a monthly Mayham series out of this Get a rc trailer and use that to haul the comp truck and use the bed to store all your tools, charger, speaker, and spare parts Love the videos
I had left comments on your videos that stated. When will Traxxas rerelease TRX 6x6 to General public. When I saw this video earlier didn’t finish till now. I called my Hobby shop and put my name in for Truck.
Dude I saw this video come up and I thought eh. ran out of things to watch and I gave it a go. Pretty sweet unit. It's pretty easy to see how much you liked it from the cheesy grin you had the hole way through the video. If your into that sort of thing Traxxas really nailed it.
I just got an email from Traxxas for this. I love this far more than any of the other 6x6 platforms. Now I don’t have to convert my King Hauler. It would be super cool to see a tow truck RC.
With just a few pounds on it it truly crawls great. There are many circumstances it can get up things that nothing else can. Yes it's got a questionable break over but in actual use goes anywhere that it can fit. Dangerously bought this on impulse and it has turned out to be my favorite truck ever which I think is totally crazy. I don't haul anything besides tools batteries and a speaker if I'm doing crawling stuff also it makes an excellent recovery vehicle. I use a pulley off the end of the bed and it makes it a lot stronger and the placement of the winch then makes perfect sense
People can hate and talk crap about Traxxas all they want but they make really well made vehicles that are nicely put together, like what you mentioned about the bed being properly mounted to the frame. Probably not a truck I'd buy but cool that they made it available to everyone
Yup this with a bed winch and front winch would be awesome. Print up a pivot for the bed and add a linear actuator to tilt it as well. Pair it with a off road trailer for a awesome recovery rig. Would love to see one at comps for scale recovery when trucks die on the trail.
Thank's for sharing Josh I'm Excited Anticipating the arrival of the Pre-order from my LHS one thing for sure it's a Huge Model and with my custom Logo Sand Ladder's for ramps it'll be a Blast ✌🤠👍 Having Fun Laughing Playing and RCing 🙏 Stay Safe and Play Healthy My Friend ❣️
...OMG..... Yer actually drivin' your builds, I mean boughten RC's !!! - Great stuff Mr. Josh !!! 👍 THAT TAXXUS HAULER IS HUGE !! "😯" ...Price Tag "Anyone"... [$]...!!??? 🤔 Hey we can haul ammo cans now !!! 💪🇺🇸
I know this may sound ridiculous but when I saw this, in my minds eye I see my DAKAR build. Yeah even though that means losing the 6x6 third axle and hacking the frame. It so fits what I have been thinking of building and at the scale I had been wanting. Too bad it will be later in the year if I plan it now. I'll be watching this one 😉👍
I was thinking the same thing. It has a long chassis for a Dakar Rally Truck. If you can't part with the 3rd axle you could still make a 3 axle Dakar Rally support truck.
I just finished that Phoenix kit and I must say wow This is the highest quality kit I've ever put together in 39 years of modeling thank you so much good job
@@thundervalleycbshop6362 thank you. That kit looks like a hoot to put together. I’m not a fan of rtrs so I’m always looking for a hood kit to build. Tamiya kits are always fun but they can’t compete with Vanquish, Axials, Traxxas, etc.
The obvious project is to turn it into a working rollback to haul your crawlers around at scale nats. Drive that up then roll the crawler off. Bonus points for scale speed binders and chains.
that thing looks like its got tons of room for an interior! very excited about this minus the electronics lol. a great looking truck no doubt. gonna have to add it to the list
I love it, and if I end up getting myself one of these I will end up taking a trx4 defender body and chopping it down to make a big defender hauler, with a land rover on the rear😎
I saw a guy that got the snap on version, take the rollback deck off and built a "communications box" on the back like a military truck, but inside was a Bluetooth speaker he tore apart and integrated, and a battery charger that did up to 4s the he tore apart ad well. It was really cool to see his ideas and build.
I'd think about shortening the bed and putting some type of scale tow hitch to haul a wagon to and from running spots instead of a backpack or parts box.
Be bomb have your car on the back with and enclosed trailer to tow. Or a 3d printed storage container for the flatbed and tow the car on a flatbed trailer. Cool stuff!
You have to put one of your crawlers on the back of that and strap it down and take that truck a little bit off-road you gotta have some off Roading take your crawler to your climbing spot
Was gonna convert my RC4WD Beast II to a hauler, but now I don't have to! I'll wait for clear body (& windows) & aftermarket tilt bed/working under bed tool boxes. Also need to know-how many 6 packs can it haul on the bed? This should be the basis of next Monthly Mayhem- maybe a Dakar 6x6 or a 6x6 drag truck build (see if carrier bearing holds up!).
About time, the snap on one was nearly unobtanium. The snap on 33 Ford body was high up on my wish list. They were a base 4 tech, with non adjustable turnbuckles, and a brushed motor, and for the longest time I couldn't get just the body. I need a clear one to custom airbrush, and with Traxxas stuff that makes it so much more expensive.
i for sure want one hahahahahahahaha. i think you need to do a whole metal back end, and make it move back so a car can fully go on it properly. just saying haha. cool run video at the end.
Josh us owner of the Regular trx6 snap-on hauler are pre order the new one and and traxxas should have included the light kit with turn single and rear views light but the prices is close to the Regular trx6
Making it a roll back almost seems inevitable. It needs take scene lights and amber flashers on top as well. For a pretty tricked out truck already it has a lot of potential for being a really fun tow truck or toy hauler.
