Well, I was wondering, when we would see some successes of Ukrainian counterattacks at a scale that is worth mentioning (even though I don´t think, that it is waranted to call it a "turning point"). The trend that they are consistantly loosing ground and that this is accellerating has been going on for a while now and I perfectly understand why and I see the cracks in the ukr. defense getting wider and wider. The signs of degenerating force get more and more visable. But it felt a bit weird, that they did not manage find more strength for at least some noticable and temporary meaningful action instead of only failing a bit slower locally for a while at best.

Those geolocation you are talking about are territories the Ukrainians have held from the beginning of the buffer operation.These reports that the southeastern part of north Vovchansk was in the grey zone was nothing but speculation.

Russians never claimed that they are holding the whole northern Volchansk.. Different youtubers said that...

"turning point" ONE counterattack is NOT a turning point. If they keep it up for another 2-3 weeks, THEN we can talk about turning point. "with very experienced forces" Which Russia obviously prefers to not fight directly if they can avoid it. Of course they will fall back from THAT. That's why they have a greater than 10 to 1 killratio. And i'll almost guarantee that said "experienced forces" are now being suckered into a killhouse. And if they keep acting like Ukraine forces do NEARLY all the time so far, they will now keep throwing reinforcements into said killhouse. . Anything about the supposed rivercrossing by Russian forces south of Chasiv yar? Also, some mappers(and so far unconfirmed reporting) say Russia has also taken the west of Klishiivka? Possibly even more? "dubious track record" BS. Russian MoD does not report until they're certain, they've been very careful about this, either they say nothing, say something incomplete and nonspecific and let people draw whatever conclusions they want or they tell the truth. Ukraine has however made it a standard procedure to instantly counterattack back into every place they report as taken. This is now effectively confirmed, because it's happening all over and everywhere, and it's also happening after there's been solid geolocations confirming Russian statements. Also, please do tell, based on everything so far, exactly what reason or motivation would the Russian MoD actually have to misreport captures? Absolutely NONE. They DO NOT CARE about capturing places. They have taken and left places MANY times and not reported it. Why would they report incorrectly?

Ukraine has plenty of man-power , plenty of (sad to say) cannon fodder, and the irony is they are getting rid of the males in the 30+-50 age bracket, meaning those who grew up in the USSR and speak Russian. So much for the SMO saving the Russian speakers. At the rate it is going they will all have become casualties.
