Massive Wheat Pile in Central Montana

During Central Montana's 2018 wheat harvest, dozens of trucks waited in line to dump at an overflow ground storage bunker. Once the bunker was full, it was tarped to protect the wheat from weather.
PLEASE READ BEFORE COMMENTING:
1. The pile was tarped once the bunker was full, in order to protect it from weather.
2. This elevator wasn't expecting the sudden surge in supply. Thus, they only had one conveyer auger available instead of two.

im not a farmer but why not fill this from both sides of the building so the line of trucks would go faster

The elevator was not anticipating the long truck lines and only own one conveyer auger. Otherwise, yes, it could be done.

That a 25,000 bu/h machine with a single 10k+ drive over..the constant moving and straight trucks are the only thing slowing him down. But 3hrs still seems excessive

Silly question what happen if the stacker breaks down? Someone who has all that wheat should have enough money for a second stacker or a back up when trucking is slow. Just saying

Timothy greil. At the point of a breakdown if serious they will rent or hire out the equipment. They have to move the wheat

@@conniedowney2250 just filled & tarped a 1.2 million bunker.. used 2 tarps 270'x175'. Used manpower pickups payloaders and lots of rope to get it over and strung out.. The black tube is hooked up to fans that will suck the tarp down, it will also be sandwiched between 2x4's around the edge

Should have 2 conveyors going get em unloaded faster. Theres this place we take customers crops takes 2 hours and you could be the 1st truck there still gonna take you 2 hours to get unloaded they are terrible

Yeah, three hours to unload sounds ridiculous, set up second conveyor on other side if pile needs to flow from one end to the other. When videos show half dozen combines in a field this has to be the biggest bottle neck.
