I miss going to quinces as a kid because I played tag with my siblings and other random kids around the dance floor while adults are dancing and lights flashing

I remember at an HEB they would occasionally play this song. And at some party or whatever they'd also play this and some children would be playing tag and I would always join them. Such nostalgia, miss the good old days nowadays it just sucks.
Its actually true, the original song is called "Soy una rumbera" created and performed outstandingly by "Melody" a great preteen girl back in those days.
I remember this song being played at a club “ The Electric Company “ in San Antonio Texas. Never knew the name until my sister sent it to me and it’s My Favorite Song! And the memories! ❤️
Being Latino from Chicago, surely did appreciate this Mexican jam, but was wondering when it came out, cuz they played it at the Club, 10 yrs ago n now recently at a Sweet 16. Classic! Oh, yeah n I live n Party in SA, till you get shot! Lol!🙏😇🇺🇸🪖
I am never going to forget the day that I was in pre-K and we had to dance this song in front of the whole school now I’m in fifth grade and it was prom week at my school.today Friday we were supposed to dress up in a dress or suit to get in the spirit of dancing and my silly classmates just randomly picked explorer Dora and more baby songs then my best friend said ey pon el baile de golilla then I was like oh here we go again. And we all just like lined up and started dancing to this song and we did not forget any steps because we literally took two months studying this song to get the perfect moves and we did not forget it was the best day today at school. Today and I’m never going to forget this LOL 😂
And I love to hear that song I remember when my common-law husband used to hear that one his name was Ray Gonzalez he passed away the year 2013 that was his favorite song may God have him in peace
I’ve heard this at every club, every party, every event. I now have kids and they played this at their school dance last night lol. Gotta love San Antonio lol.
Whiskey River, a country dance hall in Corpus Christi, TX always plays this every Friday. When it comes on, everyone knows what to do on the dance floor. 😂
