Cool! I noticed that after you find the antiquity (green square), you dig around it to locate other parts of the antiquity. Wouldn't it be better to dig straight down and then use the visual cue (the antiquity itself) to figure out where to dig next? This should save you a few small digs.
Hmm It might! Depends how much of the augur charges you have left! Also depends on if you know what the Antiquity shape is going to be! Like I got motifs DOWN since they are always a 3x3 but those wonky diagonal boxes tend to throw me for a loop! I also tend to to not do a full dig down so I can clean out a clear 3x3 spot to use the shovel efficiently! If you were to pop down but you put that spot right in the middle where you need the shovel to be the 3x3 dig won't work. ;p Like so many things it really does depend! The important part is you find a method that you like! :D Any extra goodies are great!

I have tried this several times by connecting 2 fissures, but it never worked. It struck me that here you say ALL fissures. Could that be the reason it didnt work for me? Is it imperative to connect ALL fissures for the big explosion to happen?
You can set off the explosion with less than all the fissures. Are you checking that they are connected by hovering over the fissure before you pop it?
