One of my favorite verses! Sometimes what is going on in the world around us can cause so much fear and worry. But we must choose to set our minds on the things above, things that are worthy and pure and good. God provides so much peace. He is our refuge. Praise God! He is in control. He knows our hearts. He knows everything! We can trust in Him. We can start each day knowing that His will is perfect, and we can share His love and goodness with those around us. I choose each day to be positive. I am so happy that the bathroom is coming along nicely. It's easy to get anxious and want it done immediately, but it's so much better to get it done the RIGHT way, like you have the bathroom progressing. So sorry to hear you haven't been feeling well! Praying for you thst you recover quickly.I needed to be reminded of that scripture. I finished chemo in Dec and having immunotherapy infusions still. My Dr retired and I just got a new one- he has no clue it seems about the syndrome 'they say I have ' (I don't CLAIM it!) Anyway, just been feeling a little discouraged, needed to be reminded WHO holds my future and He is a Good God and better Dr than anyone on this Earth, my thoughts would be better spent praising Him than worrying about the future.
Diane, I'm so touched by your comment. It's no surprise that you feel discouraged, but of course God doesn't want that for you. Discouragement doesn't come from Him. It comes from our enemy. I'll be praying for you, that God will manifest His love and concern for you in new and powerful ways as you trust Him and praise Him!♥

Mine too! During one of my devotional times years and years ago, I read that verse and meditated on it. It changed my marriage. Not that we were ever headed for divorce. . .far from it! But there were frustrations, as there always are between two humans. After studying what God says to focus on, I applied that to my relationship with my husband. I didn't change him. It changed me! God honored my obedience, and our marriage flourished. The Lord is sooooo good! God bless you, Debbie!♥

The remodeling is great but you need to feel better Nancy. Please make sure to get plenty of rest and drink plenty of fluids , it’s easy to get dehydrated. And you’re also breathing in some dust from the work being done. I hope you feel better Nancy ❤️

I know when I’m feeling poorly with a cold I don’t feel like doing much so I appreciate the effort. I also enjoyed the scripture you shared. I memorized that verse as a child as a “Missionette” at our local church. It was the motto of the girls group I attended but the funny thing is I didn’t appreciate it when I was young but as I’ve aged it means so much to me now. I’ve been impressed lately how important guarding my heart is and what better way to do that than by living out Philippians 4:8.
